Author's note: A little something on the side that came up while I was working on "Bronze and Gold." I think it stands reasonably well on its own and would be okay pretty much anywhere in cannon.
Bronze
His grandmother's birthstone ring. CJ continued to idly turn the small piece of bronze in her fingers. It had the look of well-worn jewelry, slightly irregular in color and shape, though it clearly at one time had been perfect. Probably his grandmother had worn it every day for 30 or 40 years, one of her most prized possessions. Danny had admitted it comforted him, and she imagined that he, too, often held it in his fingers as she was now. She wondered what it would look like on her finger. But he had not offered it to her. Yet.
