Farewell, Frodo
The breeze is soft and gentle,
The air smells sweet.
The day, however,is one of mixed emotions.
For our friend is leaving, for purposes great,
But it leaves the rest with heavy hearts.
Farewell, Frodo.
You can see the hobbits, saying goodbye.
Pippin and Merry, smiling and crying,
And Sam, woeful as his friend goes.
Bilbo came to see him too,
Aged without his ring.
And that fair, blue eyed hobbit, is smiling.
I smile back,
Because I know he wants us to be happy.
Farewell, Frodo.
