Dreams
In every dream we wish to soarTo soar above the clouds
With our peers looking up
Looking up at the trail we weave
For some it is far too easy
Too easy for such praise to riseNo longer can he accept the actions of his peers,
Thus he realizes the dream,
And discover his peers are not looking up in wonder,
But he is looking up at them.Falling praise blinds us
Blinds us to peers insincerity
Smothering our talents
Our talents and our abilities
To break free and fly ahead
Fly ahead of all they know
To reach understanding of ourselves
Of ourselves and our purpose we reach
Then true understanding does follow
Does follow until we can look upon our fellowsOnce risen to his peak,
His peers shall follow,
Seeking pity, understanding, and revenge,
He cannot understand their false hope,
And so seeks his own place to hide,
Never realizing his mistake.Hiding exaggerates loss
Exaggerates loss until no action is wise
Thus do many lose themselves
Lose themselves by hiding in their own minds
They hide in trenches dug for themselves
For themselves they dig a graveOnly when realization hits
And eyes flutter open
Will we ever wake from the dream
