Tell her that even though she's not the center of everyone else's life,
She's the center of his life.
Gregory E. Lang
"Daddy, where are we going?" asked a young girl, sitting in the back seat of a blue pick-up truck.
"Were going to go visit Mommy." answered the man driving the car.
"Can we go to the park after we go visit Mommy?" she asks.
"We'll see, maybe you and Mommy can do something together." he offered.
"I want to do something with you Daddy, Mommy's not as fun."
"I'm sure Mommy is lots of fun, here we are." he said as he pulled into the driveway of a house.
The man turned off the car and walked around to the side of the car to help the girl out of her car seat.
They both walked up to the door of the house, the girl holding her fathers hand.
"Hey Jennifer." answered the woman at the door as the two walked into the house. She looked up at the man, and her cheerful smile turned to a hateful glare "Hello."
"Can we just get this done with, Jen doesn't need to be put through too much in one day." said the man, as he glared back at the woman.
The woman knelt down beside Jennifer and took her hand "Jenny, you're going to stay with me, ok."
"But Mommy, Daddy and me were going to go to the park later, can't I stay with him?" begged the young child.
"No sweetie, Daddy has other things to do."
"But I can go with him, cant I Daddy?" she asked, as her deep blue eyes begged her father to say yes.
"You have to stay with Mommy for a while, ok."
"I don't want to stay with Mommy, I want to stay with you Daddy, I want to stay with you." she pleaded.
"I'll be back every ones and a while Jen, but you have to stay here." said the father as he stood up and walked back to the door.
"No Daddy, please stay with me, Daddy don't go." the girl cried out one last time as her father opened the door.
"Good bye, Leroy." called the woman as she held the girl from leaving the house.
Leroy Jethro Gibbs got back into the blue pick-up and started it up.
As he pulled out of the driveway tears dripped down from his eyes and onto his face, knowing that he would never get to see his daughter again.
