Chapter 1
Dark clouds hang in the drowning sky. There was an eerie aroma of dead flowers and wilting leaves. The ground was cold, and everything around it seemed lifeless. The spirit of all evil sleeps here, and so it's maker. A high, shrieking voice whispers in the night...
Do you understand what you're supposed to do?
It was chilling to hear the sound. But she answered confidently.
Yes, I know. Don't worry. Consider it done.
1 Month Later Diagon Alley
"Bloody heck Hermione!" Ron exclaimed. Hermione was stumbling up to Ron and Harry carrying an overload of books.
"Do you think you have enough books?" Ron said sarcastically with a large grin on his freckled face. Hermione just gave him an evil glare.
"As a matter of fact, I need to make one more stop," then she looked at Harry and said, "Harry, are you alright?"
Harry wasn't listening to the usual bickering of Ron and Hermione. All he could think about was the beautiful girl he had bumped into at one of the shops, before he had found Ron. Harry was looking around and hadn't noticed where he was going. He tripped on something and fell flat on his face. When he opened his eyes, she was right there, helping him up. Who was this girl? He had wondered. He thanked her and she just gave him a sweet smile and went on her way. Ever since that moment he couldn't stop thinking about her. Her deep forest green eyes, the way her long, silky hair flowed with every movement of her body. The sweet smell of lavender and lilac trailing behind her. In a way she seemed too mysterious to Harry, but this didn't matter. All he could think about was how he loved everything about her, though he knew nothing of her.
"Harry. Harry! HARRY!"
"Huh? What? Oh sorry Hermione. What did you say?" Harry shook his head trying to get back to reality. He didn't know why he was acting so weird.
"I said are you okay?" she looked at him in a very concerned way.
"Yeah, you don't look too good mate," Ron added.
"I'm fine. Don't worry 'bout me. Just got a little carried away in my thoughts. Nothing to fuss about." Harry lied, hoping they would buy his story. Of course Ron would, but he wasn't sure about Hermione, she catches everything.
"Good, because I'm starved!" Ron whined. But Hermione raised an eyebrow frustratingly looking at him with a look saying, you're not telling me something.
"Really, I'm fine Hermione. Let's go before Ron dies from unbelievable starvation." He said, hoping that Hermione would lighten up and forget about Harry's "little episode".
As they walked through the mess of people, Harry spotted the girl at a distance. She saw him to, and just before she turned the corner into a dark alley she gave him that smile. He laughed to himself and smiled back, transfixed. Then she disappeared and Harry was left wondering... who was this girl?
