Disclaimer: The Nightmare Before Christmas is not mine, but it is even less of my sister's.
A Malicious Musing
My father is a bone-man
My mother is a doll
In my town, my parents are the rulers of it all
Although I am a princess, I want to rule right now
My dad is dead, but I'll still get him off the throne somehow
I'd like to trick Daddy into taking off his head
So I could knock him out and store
His body underneath my bed
Or drive a knife into his brain so that he couldn't talk
And break his legbones with a sledge so that he couldn't walk
Mommy loves to make soup, and she could use some help
I'd trap her in the oven
And ignore her when she'd yelp
Or, since she has all those removable body parts
I'd take them off and store each one very far apart
Those kids called Barrel, Lock, and Shock
Live fairly far away
But still want me to trick-or-treat with them on Hallowday
When I ought to ring the bells, I'm quiet as a mouse
Because I'm not allowed to go outside of the house
I'm not the sort of princess
Who wears pink silk and lace
But this is Halloween Town
I'm hardly a disgrace
The only negative trait that I seem to possess
Is wiping my bloodstained fingers on my dress
I lack the charm and gracefulness
That makes a Pumpkin Queen
But like they say:
"It is my job, so I'm not being mean."
So why to my parents should it be a surprise
When they find I've been trying to rip out my brother's eyes?
No one understands me
My family least of all
Which isn't very kind of them—they really have some gall!
They've themselves to blame when, on my quest to become queen,
They're lined up one-by-one behind the Pumpkin Guillotine.
THE END
Just in case anyone wants to know, those were thoughts of a girl named Alice.
