Title: Sisters.

Authoress: Kitsune on Prozac (Rei No Kage)

Note: I noticed that there weren't any fics about how Dakki, Kibi and Ou Kijin came to call each other sisters, and for lack of anything better to do, made this. I haven't read past number seven of the manga in French (uu/) and the anime doesn't really do is justice, So I'm sorry if it actually was explained later in the series. Has anyone else noticed Shinkouhyou's vague allusion to Fukki that was never followed up on? Yes. What about Bukichi's many appearances? No, me neither.

Dakki frowned at the ravaged countryside around her. The smoke enveloped her, obscuring her view, but cleared in a moment. The small village below her was still smoldering from the nights attack.

So this is why Jyoka wants the Yin dead.

The tiny village had been home to a select few youkai sennin, who had a tendency to band together since they were so hated by humans. A large group of soldiers had razed it to the ground last night, burning the houses, and looting the few worldly belongings that the youkai had kept.

The kitsune walked deliberately down to the smoldering remains of the town, population: 0.

Youkai had been known to kill humans, but never on a large scale like this. The Yin was sending out battalions of troops and destroying any small collection of youkai they came across. Many of the demons settled down and started farms and small trade routes.

She pushed her hair out of her eyes. The red tip of some sort of plume was pushing its way through the rubble. If she was lucky, it was the decoration on the helmet of some fallen soldier, wounded or dead and easy prey. She gave a foxy grin to nobody in particular and increased her speed. Kneeling down, she pulled a large blackened beam away from the small flash of red and started. Charred village, population: 1.

It was a young youkai girl.

She has bright yellow hair tipped with red, pulled into a ponytail. Her light pick shirt made her stand out against the charred rubble. Dakki could tell she had been some kind of flashy bird, and swallowed the instinct of foxes often eateating such birds.

The girl looked up and blinked feebly. "Nee-sama?"

Dakki smiled. "No, but I will be."

The bird youkai blinked again and smiled weakly. "Okay. Kibi is happy."
