Harry, Ron and Hermione sat at the Gryffindor table in the Great Hall watching the new first years get sorted into their houses. It was the golden trio's sixth year. When the sorting was over Dumbledore stood and made a few announcements. "First of all the dark forest is off limits to all students, Second we have a new flying instructor, our very own Hogwarts alumnus and former Gryffindor Quidditch captain Mr. Oliver Wood." With that the whole Gryffindor Table burst into applause and Harry had to do a double take. Marcus Flint who was in his third round of his seventh year fell out of his seat causing laughter throughout the hall. Dumbledore waited a total of five minutes before continuing due to the fact that he couldn't get anyone to settle down until Professor McGonnagle nearly broke her water glass by tapping it with a fork. "Next, I have asked Remus Lupin to reconsider the Defense Against the Dark Arts Teaching position and he has finally agreed to return." At this news all of the tables except Slytherin cheered because their favorite DADA teacher was returning. "And last but certainly not least. Due to a recent trial Sirius Black has been freed and is now taking Mr. Filch's place as care taker because Argus has decided to retire and be a grandpa to Mrs. Norris's Kittens." This news brought on a standing ovation from everyone except Malfoy and his cronies. Harry, Ron and Hermione all exchanged excited grins and began talking "This is going to be the best year we've ever had and finally I can live with Sirius instead of the Dursleys." The other two nodded in agreement and Hermione was about to speak When Dumbledore made one last announcement, "Oh yes, and on Halloween this year we are going to have a Karaoke/Singing Talent show. 150 points will be awarded to the house of the winner, 100 points to the first runner up and 50 to the second runner up. Please sign up by no later than October 1." And with that final announcement the hall broke out into a mass of excited whispering and food appeared on the tables. As Harry sat pondering all the cool new things this year Fred and George Weasly walked up to Harry and Harry said "Wow hey! How...What...Why are you guys here and how are things going?" "Well..." started Fred "We decided since Dumbledore was back we'd like to finish school properly with you guys" he said. "Plus Mum threatened us with our lives, and our joke shop" George added. As they all began to chat and catch up a plan was already forming in someone's mind.
I know it's short and it's a nice little cliffy but I had to get my idea up here before someone beat me to it. I will update as soon as possible but I am a single teen mom of a 1 year old and I'm in college so bear with me but review if you like it, don't like it or have suggestions.
