Author's note: I just wanted to add this to define a "drabble" as I keep getting reviews about the brevity of this piece. A drabble is a fic that's only 100 words long, no more, no less. So, yes they're very short and that's one reason I don't really like them. I hate being scrunched for word count. As such this is probably the only drabble I'll ever do; the size of my ficclet "Bits of Tin" are about as short as I like to go.

Everything

Everyone said the same thing: "He has everything". Nokoru knew how wrong they were every time he saw children playing or being carried by a parent. He hadn't been carried since he'd learned to walk. He had to stand on his own.

But... if only for tonight, he didn't. He'd selfishly endangered another boy's life, and instead of cursing Nokoru, he'd sworn a lifetime of protection... and companionship. It wouldn't last; Takamura or not, surely his mother would end this tomorrow...

But tonight… he had a friend that carried him to safety... if only for tonight.

And that... meant everything…
