The house was dark. No one was home save for the young woman. She was rooting through an antique looking chest. She knew that something in the chest was calling her. Not unusual, seeing as how many of the items I her chest contained odd magical items or charms of some sort. Today, her calling was from an old leather bound book.
The young woman turned it over few times in her hands before opening it. It was simply titled:
Fushigi Eien: The Mysterious Eternity.

The young woman turned to the first page, and saw that it was blank. If she did not have endless patience and an endless abundance of curiosity, then she might have tossed the book away. But her patience was rewarded when words started to appear on the paper.
