A/N: This is a one time story/poem, but I might base a story after it. It takes place during the scene, where Legolas gives back the Light of the Evenstar to Aragorn. Ofcourse, there will be some word exchanges that aren't in the movie.

Rated: R for the thoughts of the contiued story.

Don't Turn Away

As I see you walking towards me I feel such pride, you walking towards me, and not her. As you approach, I see this gleam in your eyes, one that says I need my love. You then stop, as if waiting. I approach you, to comfort you, but you turn away.

"Legolas, I...," but I put my hand on your shoulder, and tell you calming words.

Then I say it, and I'm sorry, I shouldn't have. I said, "I love you."

This is what went through my head, as the expressions on your face change.

Repeated, repeated, redundant.

Pandemonium.

Roaring flames,

disquiet, displeasing,

then hushed.

Ray of hope,

tranquil, serene.

Blue skies,

then nothing,

eternal rest.

How?

Fraud,

deceit,

as a small stone rolls

and blocks the hope,

so in my silent tomb I rest,

fearing

nothing at all.

Pain, then drugged,

inebriated.

Screaming in pain,

wound searing deeper.

Two words that scar me,

leave me in pain,

"I don't"

These two words you utter, and you start to turn away. I stop you, and did the thing I hated most. I gave it back. That charm, the light of the Evenstar, I wanted to crush it, to throw it away. But I gave it back, because it made you happy. "Thank you," you reply quietly. Then you walk away, without another word. I stand there, hand still out. One silent tear, makes its way down my face. Then falls to the ground, staining the hard, cold ground forever, making it impure.
