"Will you really want to love someone seriously with all your heart and soul? Or, do you have a heart? Do you have a soul?"

The work was all over today. Sara came back. She did not open the lights and watched the moonlight pouring down in the bedroom. It would be a lonely night again. Today again she gave up talking to Grissom. "Why do I want to talk to him? Do I need to?" Sara asked herself. She could not help thinking of Jason.

(Time went back to two years ago)

She already knew Jason for nearly two months. The tender feeling between them grew as time passed by. She did not know whether it was love. All she could do was following her heart.

In the beginning, it was just some casual phone calls. Then the conversation became longer and deeper. He tried to maintain his detachment at first. But gradually both of them sensed something had changed.

Until one night --- just like this night with nice but lonely moonlight.

Jason invited her to go to a museum for a show with him. As they stood in front of one sculpture after the show, he suddenly turned to her who was less prepared for it.

"Don't fall in love with me."

"Don't be so conceited about your charm. Never." Sara thought he was intent to say in the opposite way.

"OK, you win. It is the first time I ever meet a lady like you. It is out of control." he sighed.

"That's OK, I will help you to control."

"I have tried to settle down several times and failed several times. Maybe as I become older now, I have less chances and I have to concentrate on what I plan to do. You are not in my plan."

Sara was waiting for what he was going to say. Something very unusual she felt.

"I think you should know I am in a relationship now. Before you hear any gossip, I want you to hear this from me." He gazed at Sara's eyes.

"How can I know that?" Her heart was torn apart, and the hurt was expanding like never before.

"We've been together for three years. She is ......" Sara already could not hear anything. "Sara, forgive me." She could only remember the last words he said to her.
......

(Time came back to present)

The time passed slowly around Sara. The room was filled with silence. She kept her restless heart calm down finally.

The telephone rings from distant place. It continues to ring over and over again in the totally silent world.
