I love you so much
Can't you see
Our relationship
Is truly hurting me?

But you don't understand
I can't go on
I've been wanting to tell you
For so very long

We can't go on
You and I
It just won't work
Believe me I've tried.

For you to understand
Is simply too much
I wouldn't ask
That you do just such

I don't want any commitments
I wanna be one
I guess I'm not ready to be serious
I just wanna have fun

But remember this
We can still be friends
I want you to know
It all doesn't have to end

So you see my dear
I think a lot of you
I know our new friendship
Will always be true.

I won't say goodbye
Cause that's not what it is
And don't hate me for saying this
But that's just the way it is.

I want to be friends
Maybe go out sometime
But right now I'm confused
And need my own time...
