All the toys in Andy's room are so excited to be starting a new learning program from Mr. Spell. Apparently Mr. Spell had discovered a miraculous method of communicating with other toys in different homes. The classes were held weekly and it had become the talk of the entire room. No one was sure how to explain it, but it was true. Rex had already contacted two other Rex's on the same street through toy-mail. Which was an easy way to send and receive messages. Everyone was having a great time finding other toys just like themselves. Just as interesting as their twins was finding other Woody's.
Even Woody was interested in talking with other Woody's because he was so rare. However, Woody was not as smart as all the other toys and was not really enjoying what was happening with the toys in Andy's room. (Those toys that were accepted in Mr. Spell's special class. It was the highest degree of education offered to any toy around the world) Buzz seemed to understand exactly what he was doing and learned all the technology with such ease. Woody really wanted to take the class to simply become a better cowboy, not about all the technology that Buzz understood. Even Mr. Potato Head, Rex, Slinky and Ham head were understanding all the new learning technology and enjoying it. But they just seemed to be ignoring each other the more time consuming class became. Woody just felt that everyone was solely worrying for them self as each week passed.
What's wrong Woody? Bo Peep asked.
"I don't know. I am just having a difficult time with this online assignment Mr. Spell has us working on. It just seems pointless to me to continue working on these weekly assignments."
"Come on Andy it's not all that bad, and besides there are only a few of us that were even accepted in Mr. Spell's special learning program." Mr. Potato stated with a sense of pride.
"Yeah Woody, you ought to feel pretty lucky," said Buzz. "There is so much for us to learn, and remember if you need any help I am always willing to tutor you."
Now everyone started to come around the end of the bed for class to start. Woody really felt a little out of place. It seemed as if everyone was so excited about this new learning program Mr. Spell was teaching. Woody remembered his experience when everyone started taking classes from Mr. Spell. Someone always brought special gifts each week for each member of the class. And now Woody was not sure how to rediscover that experience.
