Izuku was chosen for his lack of quirk. Shouta was chosen for his quirk’s usefulness as it pertained to the mission. Both were scanned and vetted meticulously, followed for a minimum of one month (Izuku) and a maximum of three (Shouta; it took much longer due to his pro-hero status). Now at the mercy of their captors, will Izuku and Shouta break out, or simply break?
