A Remorseful Gun Sound

I chased Quent as he continued to shun me away. "Pops...!" I cried. "Don't call me that!" he yelled back to me. Suddenly I sensed something. Something sinister. Disappating the human illusion of myself, I snarled, baring my fangs as the black figure approached. Darcia. He had a gun in his hands.... and so did Quent. Then all I heard was a shot. Steel driving deeply into my heart. The pain of death. But I was not afraid.

Falling to the ground backwards and then onto my face, I was only able to breathe slightly as Darcia left and Quent fell, bleeding. Darcia had shot Quent and Quent had shot me. Dragging myself up in my human form, I called out Pops gently. "Forgive me... I just wanted to protect you ... for Blue..." I whispered truthfully. Falling to him back in my ookami form, he put his arm around my neck. "No, I'm sorry. I was the one who shot the bullet," he groaned and hugged me tightly, as he had done in the snow back in the mountains.

"So... it had been you..." he smiled. "Back there in the snow... you could have left me there to die..." he whispered. "I saved you..." I groaned. "I'm so tired... I'm just gonna sleep here for a little while." I whispered as I closed my eyes and exhaled. "Good boy," he whispered as he held his arm tightly around my neck.

Then what I saw was Granny. She was holding flowers and had her arm gently around my neck. 'Paradise...' I smiled. 'I'm finally here...' "My Toboe..." she whispered. "Stay here with me..."

And so I did.

Later on, I heard Tsume in my mind saying that he wanted to take me to Paradise.
But how could he have?
I was already here.
