Normal copyright, I own nothing. Hiromu Arakawa does. :3 Written for a "childhood" challenge. I seemed to have lost sight of the theme and sort ran off with my "ALXEDLOVEISSOCUTE!"

Al remembers when he was 6 and 7. Things were so simple then. Before Ed and Al got interested in alchemy. Before their mother got sick and passed away. Before cold metal limbs and hollow bodies. Before Al knew what is was to feel pain. All Al knew was the warm and loving touch of his dear older brother, and the assuredness he would get when he looked into his brother's eyes. Knowing that he and his brother shared a special bond, one that neither pain nor alchemy could ever break, that was all Al had ever needed. He was living for the moment. Nothing mattered to Al but his brother. His tears and pain, his laughter and joy alike. Ed's soft lips gently kissed away tears whenever Al injured himself. The same lips curling into a happy-go-lucky grin, laughing when Al told him a joke. The same lips that scolded Al when he accidentally broke one of his brothers' toys. All these were the same brother, the brother that Al loved and cherished, and held dearest to his heart. The brother Al remembers from his childhood.
