'Heavenly night'
Sango gazed up at the night sky, her vision blurred by tears. She longed for her old life back. She wanted to be back in her village training to fight demons by her fathers and brothers side. She didn't mind the men calling her too masculine and such. It was better than what she had now. 'How can you say such things?' said a voice in the back of her head, 'look at the new friends you have and how much they care for you. You can't bring back the village, but with help from your new friends, you can avenge it and bring back the most important part of it... Kohaku...And besides, if none of this happened, you would not have met him. Your one and only who hasn't called you masculine like the others. If it weren't for Naraku, the one I hate, I would have never found Miroku, the one I love.' She began to drift into slumber, when suddenly she heard footsteps coming toward her. "Who's there?" she yelled looking around into the darkness to faintly see a purple object coming near her. "Is that you Miroku?"
"Yes it's me. I came to see if you were alright." He paused in front of her and had a very stern face. "Are you ok? It looks like you've been crying."
"What would you care? You care more for the random women you meet on the streets." With that Sango stood up and began to walk away, but was pulled back by Miroku and into his arms.
"Please don't go. What you've said doesn't even make sense. Of course I care about you a great deal Sango... I more than care, I love you."
Sango froze in his arms and stared at him in disbelief. Although he was not lying, she could tell by the look in his eyes. 'Is it true?' she thought, 'does he really care for me, like I care for him?'
Miroku continued, "I know you couldn't possibly feel the same for me. But it needed to be said. And now seemed like a good time. I'm sorry I've disturbed you." He began to loosen his grip and slowly backed away only to be pulled back by Sango.
"No, don't stop, please. I do love you. I thought it was you that didn't care for me. Please don't let go. Stay with me." Sango begged. Miroku, confused at first, didn't hesitate to wrap his arms back around her. Then again he loosened his grip and backed away. "Miroku?" Sango whimpered at his action but it was quickly forgotten when Miroku picked her up and gently laid her on the ground, he lowered himself next to her to lay by her side and held her to him.
"Let's stay like this." He said, "The others don't need to know. I just want to stay by you, and hold you close."
"Nothing Funny?" Sango said sternly
Miroku leaned close to her and kissed her forehead, "Only a little." He smiled.
Sango relaxed in his arms, "I think I can deal with it." She said happily.
Well I hope you liked it! Stay tuned for more!
