Chapter 12: Yami's concern
As soon as the bell rang for luch, Anzu went immediately after Yami and Yugi. Anzu saw in class that they were separated, and she wanted to know how that came. Who did that, and when did it happened? It was so weird to see them together in separated bodies. Anzu walked so fast, that Francios couldn't get to her.
"Anzu! Wais up, Anzu!" Francios yelled threw the full hall. 'Damn you, girl.' Francios thought and ran after her.
When Anzu arrived in the cafeteria, she searched for Yugi and Yami. She found them quickly, 'cause they were sitting at the place where they we're always sitting during lunch. Anzu walked to the two boys. She felt nervous. Nervous? Why would she be so nervous? It's just Yugi and Yami.... But she still wasn't over the fact that Yami gave Anzu a peck on her cheek.
'Don't be so dumb, Anzu! It was just a peck, nothing to be worrying about! It was nothing! So snap out of it!' Anzu thought as she arrived at the table. Yugi and Yami saw her walking towards them.
"Hi, Anzu!" Yugi said, cheery as always. Yami just looked at her and smiled.
"Guys, what happened? Why are you separated now?" Anzu said, straight to the point.
"Well, it's kind of a long story.... You got the time?" Yugi asked.
"Heh, it's lunch time remember? I've got the time." Anzu said as she sat next to Yugi.
"Well, it started yesteday night. I could'nt sleep because of the whole guy's-with-weird-accent-thing." Yugi said and Anzu nodded. Yami just sat there, listening what his aibou was saying.
"So, I went out for a walk. To think about it. And I ended up in the park." Anzu remembered something. She was also there yesterday night. In the park! But she didn't saw Yugi. The only one there was Ryou. Maybe Yugi was on the other side of the park...
"I just stood there when Bakura came out of nowhere."
"You mean, Ryou's evil spirit if the millenium Ring?" Anzu asked.
Yugi nodded. "Yes. He said to me that you where there also."
"Yes, I was. But the one I was talking to was Ryou. Well, at least I thought it was..."
"That's right, Anzu. Bakura only comes out when I or Yugi are around." Yami said suddenly.
Yugi nodded. "Yami's right. Bakura know's about the French guys."
"He know's? But how?" Anzu asked.
Yugi looked dwon. "We don't know, he just does! It's a bit scary sometimes..."
"Yeah, tell me about it... But what happened next?" Anzu asked.
"Well, Bakura pointed his millenium Ring at us and then-" Yugi wanted to say what happened, but he was cut of bu a certain voice.
"Anzu! Here are yous! You walk pretty fast! What was the hurry?" Francios asked as he sat down besides Anzu.
"Oh, I... Uhmm... Just wanted to ask Yugi and Yami something." Anzu said, a bit nervous.
Francios looked at Yami. "Are yous new here? I haven't seen you before. Except the time we were in tshe hospital." Yami didn't know what to say. And he couldn't come up with something either.
"Eh... He's mine... ehhh... My brother!" Yugi said quickly.
"Brother?" Francios asked while Yami was looking weird at him too.
"Yeah... He... Euhh... Was first on another school, but he was kicked out! Yeah, and now's he's here!"
"Kicked out, non? And... what did yous do excactly?" Francios asked, looking at Yami.
"He did something to the teachers! Yeah, he euhh.... Well, you don't wanna know." Yugi said, a bit nervous.
"Oh, but I do wanna know!" Francios said, smirking.
"Well... He... he did... Euhh...He did graffiti around and on the whole school! And that's why they kicked them off."
"Hahaha! That is pretty funny! And Yami, do yous know Anzu long?"
"Oh, yes I do. I know Anzu for a very long time now." Yami said, looking at Anzu, who blush from what Yami said.
"Yo, people! Whatsup!" Came a voice from behind. Yugi, Yami, Anzu and Francios turned around to see who was yelling there.
"Cut dat out, Honda... It's a bit inbarrisin'..."
"Get everything outta live, Jou!"
"Yeah, and outta you.." Jou mumbeld under his breath. The two boys reached the table where the other were sitting.
"Hey, guys! Whatsup!" Honda said cheery.
"Hey, Honda..." Anzu said a bit boring.
"Don't make any attention to him, guys.... He's just nuts.." Jou said as he sat at the table.
"Hey, Honda! Why are you so happy?" Yugi asked
"Oh, yeah! Yugi and Yami! You're separated right?" Honda said, and immideatly, Jou's hand came over the mouth of Honda. Everyone sat with they're eyes wide. Especially Francios.
"Ya idiot! Nobody has to hear it ya know?! Especially not Francios!" Jou whispered angry to him.
"Why not?" Honda asked. (A/N: Well, mumbeling actually.)
"Because he wouldn't understand!"
"Uhmm... What did Honda just say? Separated? What does that's mean?" Francios asked confused.
"Euhmm.. Nothing... Just... Ah, you know Honda! Always the crazy one!" Anzu said, laughing nervous.
"Ok..." Francios said. And just then, the bell rang. The gang stood up. Anzu was about to leave when somebody grabbed her hand gently. Anzu looked behind her.
"Yami? What's wrong?" Anzu asked as she saw Yami behind her.
"I want to finish the story. Could we meet after school outside?"
"Sure, but what about Yugi?"
"He can't... He has to help his grandpa in the shop."
"Ok, I'll see you after school. Bye Yami!" Anzu said and ran off, to her next class.
"Bye Anzu..." Yami aid soft and he also went to his class.

The rest of the school day went by pretty fast. Anzu went outside to meet Yami. She saw that he stood there already. She walked towards him.
"Hey, Yami! So, where do you want to go?" Anzu asked.
"How about the park?" Yami said. (A/N: Again the park... )
Anzu smiled. "Sounds good to me!" And together they went straight to the park.
"Our next target.... Is set." A shadow said, and then dissapeared quickly again (A/N: Now who could that be?)
--- In the park ---
"Wow! Bakura actually helped you two to get your own bodies?" Anzu gasped as she heard the whole story from Yami.
"Yeah, pretty strange that he helped us..." Yami said.
"It's actually creepy... Why would Bakura help you? I mean... He hates you, right?"
"Yes.... But he just did, and then dissapeared...." Anzu nodded and then it went quiet.
"May I ask what you did here in the park yesterday night?" Yami asked suddenly.
Anzu looked at him. 'Should I tell him... But I don't want him to be worried over me... But I can trust him. He will understand it. So.. I should tell him.' Anzu thought and she took a deep breath.
"I also couldn't sleep yesterday. I have those nightmares...." Anzu began, but trailed off.
"About what?" Yami asked gently.
"A-about you... And Yugi, Jou and Honda. And those French guys.... They hurt you! In my dream! It's so scary! I don't want you all to be hurt! I can't stand it anymore! Why are those guys after us?" Anzu said and began crying. She couldn't take it anymore. Yami looked at Anzu who burried her face in her hands. And before Yami knew it, he gently hugged Anzu. Anzu was surprised, but she hugged him back, crying in his chest.
"Shhh shhh. It will be alright, Anzu. Don't cry. Please don't cry." Yami said, trying to comfort her.
"I'm so scared Yami. I don't want anyone to get hurt anymore. I'm so scared!" Anzu said and cried harder.
"Anzu, everythings gonna be alright. I promise you. Don't cry... I hate to see you cry." Yami said, hugging her tightly. Anzu looked up, whit a tear strained face.
"Nothings gonna happen to us. Not to Yugi and especially not to you." Yami said soft as he whiped her tears away whit his thumb.
"Yami... you're so nice. How can I thank you....." Anzu said, trailing of by looking into his crimson eyes. (A/N: Drools....)
"You don't need to thank me Anzu... It is my plesure..." Yami said as he moved closer to Anzu. Anzu noticed this, but she could not move. And he went closer and closer.....
