Chapter 13: Heartbreak Yugi
Yami went slowly closer and closer to Anzu. But it seemed to take for a eternity.
"Yami...I...." Anzu said, but trailed off. She saw Yami's crimson eyes slowly close. Anzu didn't move. She couldn't. She was just pinned down.
Then, Yami's lips slowly touched Anzu's. First, it was just a small kiss. But then, Yami deepend the kiss. Anzu closed her eyes also. Some of her part wanted to pull away, but some of it didn't. She didn't kissed him back, but also she didn't pull away. She kinda enjoyed the kiss. But, she can't kiss a pharaoh, can't she?
'No! I can't do this! I just can't! I can't betray my friends! I can't betray... Francios....'
Anzu found her strenght and pulled away. Looking shocking at Yami.
"Yami... I can't! I can't kiss you. I-I'm sorry if you thought that..." Anzu said but was cutt of by Yami.
"No, Anzu. I should be the one to say sorry... I kissed you... And I shouldn't have done that...." Then, Yami stood up slowly. He looked at Anzu before walking away. Anzu sat there, confused and a little bit hurt. But then she realised that this wasn't good. She had to talk with him.
"Yami, stop!" Anzu said and Yami did. But he didn't turned around. He was just facing her with his back. "Don't go! We... We need to talk! To work this out!"
"I...I'm sorry Anzu.. I can't talk to you now.... I made a mistake... And I have to get punished for that." Yami said, still facing her with his back.
"Don't say that Yami! We can talk this out! Please!" Anzu said, with tears in her eyes. Yami didn't say anything, but he just walked away. Away from Anzu. Away from her sight. Anzu just stood there, crying, as she saw Yami walked away. Then, she also walked away. Not knowing that a little figure saw everything from behind the bushes. The shadow dissapeared also, leaving the park silent and alone.
--- Trurtle Game shop (Yami/ Yugi's house.) ---
Yami entered slowly the shop. 'Just pretent that nothing happened...' Yami thought to himself. 'Especially not to Yugi.'
Then, Yami came into Yugi's room. He saw Yugi sitting on his bed. He didn't move. Yami was able to look as normal as possible.
"Hey, Yugi. Did everything go well while helping grandpa in the shop?" Yami asked. Yugi looked at him, with anger in his eyes.
"Oh, yes. It went well... Very well..." Yugi said, staring right at Yami.
"Ok.. So-" Yami began, but was cutt of by Yugi.
"And where were you?" Yugi asked icily. (A/N: That doesn't sound like Yugi!)
"I was in the park with Anzu. I finished the story we began in lunch time." Yami said.
"Oh, and does she understands now?" Yugi asked in the same tone like before.
"Yes, she understands perfectly." Yami said.
"Oh, and you ended it with a kiss, right?" Yugi said, straight to the point of what he saw in the park.
Yami began to sweat. "W-wha? Yugi, what are you talking about? A kiss? I don't understand."
Yugi stood up, now with tears in his eyes. "Of course not! Of course you don't understand! Yami, I saw everything! I saw you talking to Anzu! I saw you comforting (Wait... is that right?) her! And, I saw you KISSING her!" Tears now straining down on his cheecks.
"You were spying on us?" Yami asked alittle with anger.
"Yes I did! But who cares! You know I love her Yami! And you just kissed her! You kissed her!" Yugi yelled, with more tears coming down.
"I'm sorry, Yugi... I never meant too-" But Yami was cutt of again.
"And what did you meant then? Was it just a friendship kiss then? And what if I didn't saw it? Would you keep it a secret for me?"
Yami looked shocked at Yugi. "I... Well... Yes... I mean..." For once, Yami didn't knew what to say. (A/N: Is that so?)
More tears went down. "I knew it... I knew it! You would keep it a secret from me! How can I ever trust you again, Yami?" Yugi yelled at him.
Yami stared at him. 'Trust? Yugi doesn't trust me anymore?' Yami thought as he looked Yugi right in the eye. "Aibou, I would never hurt you. You know I wouldn't."
Yami could see everything in Yugi's eyes. Hate, anger, bertay, hurt but most of all heartbroken. "Cut that out Yami! I'm not your Aibou! You have your own body now! So you don't have to call me aibou or hikari!"
Now Yami looked totally shocked. "Yugi! You didn't mean that! Did you?"
"Yes, I do! I definitely do! I don't know why you were Pharoah in the ancient times! I guess you even broke heart back then!" Yugi said and run out of the room.
"Yugi! Come back here! I want to explain!" Yami yelled and ran after him.
Yugi stood infront of the exit of the shop. "You don't need to explain, Yami... I know everything.." And with that, Yugi ran outside with tears in his eyes.
"Yugi! No! Come back!" Yami yelled, but Yugi didn't hear him. Yami collapsed on the floor. He slammed a fist on the ground.
"No! What have I done? After everything I just bertayed Yugi! After all I've done for him, I betray him! I kissed Anzu, leaving her with confusion. She wanted to talk, but I didn't... I just kissed her and ran away. And Yugi saw everything....." Yami sobbed.
"Look at dis pathetic guy..." A males voice with a weird accent said.
"Iet looks like he already bowes for us! Hehehhe..." Another voice said. Yami looked up, to see who was saying that. He couldn't see who it was, it was all a blurry sight for him from his tears. But he could hear from their accents, it was them. The guys who had hurt Jou and Honda.
"You.... You hurt my friends!" Yami said, while standing up.
"Oeh, you are a smart little guy." One of the said. (A/N: Don't mind the little... Yami is just as the same hight as them!)
"Who are you working for!?" Yami demanded.
"None of yours busnis..." The man said and grabbed Yami by the shirt. "You are our next target..."
--- Yugi's POV ---
How can I trust Yami again? He kissed the girl I love. He knew that I love Anzu. And he just kissed her! I should have known it... And even if I didn't saw it, he still would keep it a secret from me...
I just ran... And I didn't know were I was going... As long I am far away from Yami. I stopped to take a breath. Wait a sec... I know this place... This is were Jounoochi lives! I see his apartement building. Jou is my best friend, I am sure he can help me.
I went up with the stairs. I looked at every name tag on every door. Suddenly, I saw Jounoochi's name on a tag.
"Katsuya Jounoochi." I read out loud. This it it! I knocked gently on the door. I could hear a voice from the other side.
"Hold on a sec, would ya? Da door's still locked!" Jou said, as I could hear keys open the door. The door went slowly open.

"Yug? Is that you?" Jou asked as he saw a tear strained face infront of him. "What happen'?"
"Jou? May I come in, please?" Yugi asked with a shaky voice.
Jou looked at him, only staring, but soon came back to reality. "Yeah, sure. Please, come in! Tell, me... Wat happen'?" Jou asked, as he let Yugi inside. Yugi sat on the couch, while Jou came sit next to him with a glass of water. "Here ya go." Jou said as he handed over the glass.
"Thanks Jou.." Yugi said and drank the water. (A/N: Yeah, what else he has to do with it?)
After a few minutes, Jou began to ask. "So, why are ya here, Yug? Wa happen'?"
Yugi puts his glass on the table. "Well, it all started in lunch at school. Anzu saw that Yami and I were separated. She wanted to know why. Me and Yami started to explain. But then Francios came, and we couldn't finish our story." Yugi said, with a angry tone in his voice as he said the name 'Francios'. Then he continued. "Then, Yami had taken Anzu to the park after school, to explain he while story. I couldn't come 'cause I had to do things in the shop for grandpa. But something told me that I should follow Yami and Anzu. Some of me didn't trust it..."
Jou looked confused. "Ya didn't trust it? Why not? Yami was just tellin' Anzu da whole story."
"Yeah, I know... But I had to follow them, just to make sure." Yugi said, looking down at his feet.
"You spied on dem?" Jou asked in shock.
"Yes, but it was a good thing though.... 'Cause, when Yami finished the story, he kissed Anzu! He kissed her Jou!" Yugi said, new tears welling up in his eyes.
Jou's eyes went wide. "Yami kissed Anzu? B-but wha? I don' understand Yug!"
Many more tears went down. "I-I don't know either, Jou. He knew I love Anzu. But he just k-kissed her. H-he kissed the girl I love!" Yugi said, with his face in his hands.
"Ya love Anzu? I didn't knew that, Yug... Wa didn't ya tell me?" Jou asked.
"I-I don't know.... I think I was scared... I was scared for.." But Yugi couldn't finish because Jou did that for him.
"Rejection?" He said and Yugi nodded. Jou shook his head. "Yugi... Anzu would neva do dat! Ya know dat! She's ya best friend since kindergarten!"
"Then why did she kissed Anzu?" Yugi said looking straight at Jou. Jou didn't say anything. He saw exactly what Yami saw inYugi's eyes. Heartbroken. Just then, someone knocked on the door. Jou stood up to open the door. When he did, he eyes grew wide. He saw a person that could barely stand.
"Yami?"
