Chapter 15: Friends till the end
"Why do they take so long to get here?" Anzu said, tipping her fingers on her knee, until Francios gently touched her hand.
"Does not worries, my dear Anzu. They wills come..." Francios looked at her gently. Anzu sighed but then gave a lovenly smile.
"You are right. Friends always come, and stick..... stick together untill the end..." Anzu said, her last sentice in a whisper. Then, there was knocking on the door. Anzu immediatly stood up, and rushed to the door.
"Honda! I'm so glad you're here!" Anzu said as she saw Honda standing infront of her with his motorcycle outfit. Rain drops fell of his suit, well, it rained after all.
"Yeah, I came as soon as I can. Are the other here yet?" Honda asked as he took of his jacket.
"No, they are not here yet..." Anzu said. She and Honda walked into the living room.
"Oh, hello Francios!" Honda said as he saw Francios sitting on the couch.
"Hellos Honda!" Francios said.
"Now we just have to wait for the others." Anzu said as she took a seat next to Francios. Honda and Francios nodded as someone knocked at her door. (A.N:Yeah, she doesn't have a doorbell... Weird...)
Anzu rushed to the door, As she opened it, she saw Yugi, Yami and Jou standing there. They were soaking wet.
"Get in quickly guys!" Anzu said as Yugi, Yami and Jou walked in.
"Man, it sure's rainin' hard outside!" Jou said.
"You said it, Jou!" Yugi said as took of his coat. Jou did the same. Yami didn't say anything, he just watched Anzu, when she catched his eye, he quickly turned around. Anzu blushed alittle. She totally forgot about what happened at the park.
The four friends went inside as they had they're coats off.
"Hey Francios." Jou and Yugi said at the same time they saw him. Yami only remained quiet.
"Hey, Honda! Ya are here quick!" Jou said as he saw Honda.
"Thanks for noticing Jou..." Honda said alittle irritated.
"What?" Jou said schrugging. He, Yugi and Yami took they're seat. It wax quiet for a moment until Yami began to speak.
"So, Anzu. Why did you call us? Why did we had to come here?" He asked looking at Anzu. Anzu looked back at him but quickly stared at the ground.
"Well... First of... Francios is leaving tomorrow to Paris." Anzu said.
"Leaving already? Dude... Time flies by!" Honda said.
"Yah... It's like ya're go here only yesterday!" Jou said. But Yugi and Yami didn't say anything. They were actually happy that he was leaving. But was this the reason they they had to come here in the rain?
"Anzu.... Is this all?" Yugi said soft. He didn't wanted to sound rude.
Anzu looked at Yugi, and tears began to form in her eyes.
"Anzu?" Yugi, Yami, Honda and Jou said all in the same time. Francios didn't say anything. He already knew.
"I-I..... Got a-a note... A-and...." But Anzu couldn't say anything anymore; she bursted out in tears.
"Anzu.." Yugi said as he came closer to her. He hugged her gently. "Anzu... What note.. What are you talking about?"
Anzu grabbed the note from the table and gave it to Yugi. Yugi began to read it while Yami slowly made it towards Anzu.
While Anzu had her head in her hands, Yami sat down in front of her. He took one of Anzu's hands in his owne hands. Anzu looked at him. They're gaze were locked at each other.
"WHAT???" They snapped outta they're daze as they heard Yugi's cry. "Who wrote you this???" Yugi said, looking at Anzu with shocking eyes.
"What is it then, Yugi?" Honda asked as he looked at the note together with Jou.
"Who wrote you this, Anzu?" Yugi asked again. Anzu looked at Yugi.
"I-I don't know Yugi... And I don't know what to do...." Anzu said, crying again. Honda and Jou just finished reading the note also, and they stared with shock at Anzu.
"Anzu... How... When.. Who?" Honda stuttered. Jou just tood there. He didn't knew what to say. Yami was also reading it.
"I-I don't know what to do! I'm so scared...." Anzu said.
"Do they mean it?" Honda asked.
"What do ya dink, Honda?" Jou said with sarcasm.
Yami just finished reading it. But he remained calm.
"Anzu..." He said gently, wich made Anzu look at him. "Do you know who wrote this?"
"I-I think t-those French guys w-wrote it..."
"So.. What are you gonna do?" Yami asled her, still soft and gently.
"I-I don't know... I don't want you guys to be hurt.... That's w-why I let you guys c-come here, to let y-you know."
"Well, it's a good thing you called us, Anzu!" Honda said with his fist up.
"Yah! Dose guys are not goin' to threat our best friend!" Jou said as he did the same as Honda.
"Yeah, and we're gonna help you Anzu! You are not alone on this one!" Yugi said, smiling at her.
"You hear that, Anzu? We are gonna help you." Yami said, still holding her hand.
"But I don't want you guys to be hurt..." Anzu said, looking down.
"Ah, Don' worry, Anzu! We are not going to get hurt! We can stand up for ourselves!" Jou said.
"Thanks, guys... You are the best frien-" Anzu said, but was cut of by soe noise coming from Francios.
Francios took out his beeper and looked at it.
"What's wrong Francios?" Anzu asked, looking at Francios. Francios looked dissapointed at Anzu.
"My dear Anzu... I has to goes....I am so sorry... But I wills be here tomorrows when I leave, oui?"
"Do you really have to leave, Francios?" Anzu asked, standing up.
" I'm afraids so, mon cherie.... But I'll come heres and says goodbye to yous." Francios said.
Anzu walked over at him, and gave him a hug. "You promise?"
"I promise..." Francios said and hugged her back.
Yugi and Yami didn't feel so good by seeing this. Yes, they become jeaulous again.
They let go of each other. Francios gave Anzu a kiss on the lips. Now, Yami and Yugi were overcome with jeaulousy. Luckily, Anzu pulled away, blushing.
"I think you have to go, Francios. You have to get a good night rest before you fly back to Paris."
"Yes... You are right." Francios said, turning to he others. "I hads a wonderfulls time here, my friends! I hope I see yous agains in thie future!"
"Yeah, come again here sometimes, Francios!" Jou said as he exctendid (A/N: spell?) his hand.
"Later dude." Honda said as he did the same.
"It was nice having you here Francios." Yugi said and Yami just only nodded.
Francios and Anzu walked to the door, it was still raining.
"And yous gets some rest too...." Francios said as he gave her a kiss on the cheek.
"Make sure you stop by, tomorrow..." Anzu said as Francios walked outside.
"I will! I certainly wills!" Francios said as he dissapeared in the dark. Anzu closed the door and went back to the living room.
"Well, we should be headin' back too, Anzu." Jou said as he let out a yawn.
"Yeah, and try and get some sleep, ok Anzu?" Yugi said as he looked with a worried face at his friend.
"Don't worry Yugi.. When I know that you are all save, I think I will sleep much better."
"That's good, but if you need us, just call ok?" Honda said. Anzu just nodded.
They all walked to the door.
"Call us when you need us, ok?" Yugi said, just to make sure.
Anzu giggled. "I will Yugi. I'll see you guys tomorrow." She said as they opened the door. They all went outside, except Yami. He turned to Anzu.
"Are you sure you are ok?" He asked her.
"Yes, Yami. Now I know that you are all save, I think I'm ok..."
"You think?" He asked and Anzu giggled.
"No, I know for sure." She said and Yami also gave a smile.
"That's better. Now, sleep well, Anzu..." Yami said as he went after Yugi and the others.
"Sweet dreams, Yami." Anzu said and closed the door.
--- A hour later ---
Anzu was almost ready for bed when the suddenly heard somekind of knocking noise downstairs. She decided to check it out. When she came in the hallway she saw an envolop lying on the doormat. 'Anzu Mazaki' She read on it and there were roses on it. She opened it. There was another letter in it and fotographs. She looked at it and saw that it was from her and her friends an hour ago! When they all said goodbye. She read the letter:
You didn't listen Anzu.... You have one more chance... If you're not gone by tomorrow night, you will have to face the consequences. Then it's: bye bye Yugi, bye bye Jounoochi, bye bye Honda and goodbye Yami! Why don't you leave with your pretty friend tomorrow? Or he will face the concequences as well! Sleep well, Anzu Mazaki.
Anzu sat down on the floor. Tears began to form in her eyes.
"I can't let my friends be hurt.... I can't!"
