I love storms. I love the thunder and lightning. They compliment each other so well.

That's like us, isn't it, Harry? We compliment each other well. Well, I think we do.

I'm the thunder, and you are the lightning. Why? Because you're always the first to come, to be seen, and then I come, behind you. You're light, like the lightning, whereas I'm the one hidden in the dark. But that's so different in our appearances. You're the one with the dark hair, and I'm the one with the light.

But I'm excluding appearances from this. Otherwise, it would be vice versa, although I know you can be noisy when you're angry.

You're the lightning because you're beautiful, and you're amazing. I've always thought that lightning was beautiful, and I can never remember ever being scared of it. It's the thunder that people get scared of. That's why I'm the thunder. Not because people are scared of me – I'd say if they were scared of anything, it'd be me handing you over to the Dark Lord. I'd never do that! And why? Because there can't be any thunder without lightning.

Harry, together we make a storm. Even before we were together. Remember? Remember when we used to be sworn enemies? I even thought it then. I was the one that made the most sound (Weasley tended to butt in before you got a word, I suspect), and you would strike me down. Lightning's not meant to strike twice, Harry, but you broke that rule. You break all the rules.

It's quite ironic really, isn't it? I'm calling you the lightning, and, well, you have a lightning shaped scar on your forehead.

Harry, remember: together we make a storm. You, Harry Potter, are the lightning, and I, Draco Malfoy, am the thunder.

I am your thunder, and you are my lightning.
