Hey everyone! I had to write a discriptive essay for school and this is
what it turned out as. Hope you enjoy it! BTW I am going to continue still holding out for you. I just
have to type it up. Anyways, I no own - you no sue! Get it, Got it,
Good!
I ran across my lawn to the run down well house that stood, lonely, in my backyard. As I slid the creaky door open, the musty scent of old wood hit me full force. It was a scent that I had grown to love, though not as much as I loved the scent of the forest and campfires. I rushed over to the ancient well that stood in the middle of the old structure, and jumped into the well. A bright flourecent blue light engulfed me right before I gently landed on the bottom of the old well.
The first thing that I always notice when I land is that there is no roof over the well anymore, all you see is an endless expance of bright blue sky dotted by fluffy, white clouds that resemble like giant pillows on a bed covered with blue satin sheets. The scent of pines slowly replaces the scent of old wood as I climb up the vines growing in the well like a ladder.
As I step out of the well, I am in the middle of a forrest surrounded by trees, yet I do not feel trapped. I feel as if I am surrounded by friends. As I look closer at the forest, I can see all the animals that make this forest their home going about their business as if a strangely dressed girl had not just climbed out of an old, dry well. Continuing to look around, I spotted a tall tree towering above the rest, like a sky scraper in New York. The foliage was so thick I could hardly see the sky as I looked up into the branches.
I continued to look around and spotted a worn path that had long ago become familiar to me, having traversed it many times before. Traveling along this path the scent and sounds of the forest slowly faded away as the smell of campfires and the sounds of a small village grew stronger. The end of the path neared as my anticipation of seeing my friends again grew. Slowly a tiny village came into my view; I easily picked out the hut I knew my friends were staying at and rushed toward it.
As I entered, the wonderful aroma of cooking soup assaulted my sense of smell. As my friends greated me, I took my usual seat around the fire looking at each one of them in turn.
"Kagome!" Sitting directly to my left and polishing hirakotsu was my best friend, Sango. She was dressed in her usual outfit, a pink and white striped kimono with an olive green obi. Her dark brown hair cascading down to her waist slightly moving and her deep brown eyes scrutinizingly watching as she polished her weapon that was almost as big as I am.
"Lady Kagome!" Sitting next to Sango was Miroku. It looked like he was deep in thought sitting there in his black yukata and royal purple outer robe. His face was serine; blue eyes deep in thought. Jet black hair pulled into a small ponytail in the back gently moving as his azure eyes moved from looking at the staff in his hands to watch the fire.
"Lady Kagome, ye are back." As Kaede walked into the room and stirred the soup, she greeted me. Her grey hair pulled back into a loose ponytail; her white haori and her red hakama's standing out against the old wood of the hut. She had a patch over her right eye, a reminder of an accident that happened when she was a child.
"What took ya so long?" Inuyasha demanded. He's glad I'm back though; I just wish he wouldn't hide his emotions behind a mask. His all red outfit stood out even more than Kaede's. Inuyasha has long silky white hair that flows down his back past his waist and amber eyes that seemed like they glowed then he got angry or his temperment, they were almost always glowing.
It was good to be home!
