"Hey, look, a letter with our names on it," Hige cried as he picked up the folded paper from the ground, it wet from the rain. "It's got Kiba's scent on it," Toboe whispered. "Well, open it, Porky," Tsume said jokingly. Hige opened it and they began silently reading it.
It seems that I've lost everything... my pack.... Cheza....
As I fell down through the lake, I watched the red moon go back to white. Reminds me so much of my dear Cheza. I can smell their blood. Toboe. The young one. The 'runt'. Heh. He was the first to go. 'Why?' I wondered when I saw his still body. Then Hige and Blue. By Darcia's hands. Together, they died. Blue's throat was but by Darcia's fangs and Tsume was ordered to end Hige's life. Then Tsume. He and Darcia fought until Tsume fell. 'See you in Paradise...' I heard him slightly whisper as I ran and fought Darcia, but I was not the one who caused his demise. Cheza did. The poison in her, because she was wilting, got into his blood when he bit her, killing him after a while. Then she was last. Her words echo through my mind;
"This is not this one's true form," she whispered. 'Not your true form? Then what is? You're beautiful enough,' I thought. "The world will close up for a while, and we will be apart. But when it is reborn again, and Paradise opens, we will be together again. This one knows. Kiba..." she uttered before fading from my arms and from this world.
As I walk now through the acid ran of this cold, industrial city with my hands in my pockets and my head hung low, I hold her words to heart. We will be together again. My mettalic grey eyes stare at the concrete ground, thinking of them. I can believe that it's gonna be alright because can smell them alive. Tsume. Hige Toboe. And the faint scent of a Lunar Flower still lingers in this place.
