Undead Pain

Ellone...

Her name echoes

In pitch-black night,

Darkness flees before the sound,

Afraid to touch

Her pristine skin,

Alabaster countenance,

Whiter than the bloodless flesh

That rests upon my timeless bones.

There when I began, she will be in the end.

Cursed with a blessing

Only she can remove,

I search through lifetimes on end,

Never changing

As she's born anew.

My only salvation,

I fear to touch.

Her childlike innocence

Hides ageless wisdom.

When first we met

Our deaths we found,

And yet I live.

And yet she is reborn.

And yet I cannot bear

To stain her once again

With my curse of blood:

My death,

My past,

My present,

My future,

My life,

My curse...

Blood;

The color of my name,

Suou,

Stains my existence,

Haunts my halflife.

Forced to quaff

The devil's drink,

Maintain my life

Though I am dead.

I longing look

At her rebirth

Once more as she was then.

The soul that once was mine

She can return to me.

I need but ask and she will give.

I will not ask.

I will not take again from her.

I will not bend her to my will.

I will live with my curse in death,

Long for her salvation.

Ellone.
