Yup, yup, my first fan fic. Yay! R&R please. It'd make me happy. Anymoose, I've always wondered what Professor Membrane does in his labs. I figured I'd never get an answer, so I wrote this. Note: This is a one-shot fic. As in, I won't write anymore of it. Don't ask for more, or I'll chop your hand off.

DISCLAIMER: I DON'T OWN INVADER ZIM OR STUFF LIKE THAT! I DIDN'T GET PAID TO WRITE THIS AND YADDA YADDA YADDA…

An extremely loud crash echoed outside the Membrane household. Though because they were used to it, Dib and Gaz didn't move from their spots on the crimson couch, still staring intently at the television screen. Seconds passed, and Professor Membrane entered dramatically through the front door. Brushing an invisible blemish of his lab coat, he turned to face his kids, who had barely acknowledged his presence.

"Kids, I'm home!" he announced, full of his usual energy, "And I just finished testing Professor Jacobs' new solar-powered rocket car! It stinks! I'll be down in my lab making a better one, if you need me." His children just nodded and mumbled a bit, waving him off and turning up the volume on the TV.

Professor Membrane pranced merrily across the room, down the stairs and into his dark laboratory. He immediately set to work, occasionally rising from his workbench to fetch a tool. After half an hour of hard work, he stood back to admire his newly created solar-powered rocket car. Much better than Jacobs', he thought to himself as a mechanical arm emerged from nowhere to wipe the professor's sweaty brow. Membrane just stared at it for a moment, then turned away quickly, stretching his arms and saying to no one in particular, "Ok, I'm bored now. What to do, what to do..." He glanced around at the seemingly endless organized clutter that was his lab and paused. Yes, it was that kind of night again.

He quickly dashed into the nearest closet, hitting the 'on' button on the radio as he ran by. He crashed around in the closet, knocking over almost everything that could be knocked over. After making as much noise as possible, the professor emerged wearing only a pair of red polka dot boxers and a long cape-like towel, which he had tied over his nose, concealing the lower half of his face. He reached over to the radio, much more dramatically than was hardly needed, and turned the volume up excruciatingly loud. The music started playing:

I'm too sexy for my love,

Too sexy for my love

Love is going to leave...

Professor Membrane began strutting around his lab, doing something that some people call dancing. He was shaking his booty with the rhythm when the music suddenly stopped. He whipped around to find his son, Dib, with his finger on the 'off' button and gawking at him.

"D-Dad?!" Dib said in shock. Membrane perked up and ran over to his son, picking him up by his torso. Though Dib could not see it, his father had a huge grin spread across his face.

"Is it time for real science, son?"

End.
