Old Smalls/Joveson Siblings angst. I always got the impression that there was something about Winslow Smalls especially did not like...

Bleston and Garten were idiots as children. Whittel ends up on the wrong end of this-and Wilfred is just very, very done. Honestly, has there ever been a moment in his life where he hasn't been chasing someone from the royal family? This is chaos and I'm happy with it. Sort of messy and something I vaguly cleaned up so that it was presentable.

No one makes it out of a war unscathed. For Smalls, this means an almost unbearable load of guilt and pain. Picket has already learned his lesson; he's on a different path towards healing now. But will Smalls ever learn to forgive himself for a mistake that nearly cost him his life? *Go read Ember Reconciles for a better character arc than this*
