Yes I'm aware this sucks. I'm keeping it up for the nifty review I got (yeah, I'm just that cool). And no, I own nothing.

"But why? Why Draco? Why do you have to leave me?"

He stood three feet from her, waiting in the hall. "You know why Granger." His voice broke. "We cannot be! It's unthinkable; I would be the laughingstock of the entire wizarding community. Besides, I'm going to be a Death Eater, everyone knows that."

She stepped towards him, pushing him back. "But you don't have to be! You can be free from your father, live your own life."

She looked at him, with those trusting brown eyes, and he knew she had to be crushed. "You don't get it, do you Mudblood? I already am one! He shoved his wrist to her, exposing the skin with the brand, marking him as one of the slaves of Lord Voldemort.

She flew back in horror, racing down the corridors to a corner where she sank down, clutching her knees, and started to cry. "Why? Why did it have to be him? Why couldn't I fall in love with Ron like everyone expects me too? No, I'll be strong, no one ever knew about us, and no one will."

He watched her go, "Why can't you see Hermione? I will miss...love you, always, even when we are on opposites sides of the battlefield, shouting horrible curses at each other, I still love you."

With that, he walked off sadly, never to come back to Hogwarts, until the final battle that is, the one were they were on opposite sides, and he said, even as he whispered "Avada Kedavra." He still thought about the woman he loved, and always will love.
