Title: Tick. Tock.
Disclaimer: Nothing is mine but the plot. Peter Pan is a creation of J. M. Barrie.
Rating: PG
Pairing: No pairing.
Summary: In the end, the crocodile devoured Captain Hook. But will the Captain give up so easily?
Author Note/Warning: I prefer my fairytales the way the original authors wrote them, instead of the fluffed up Disney versions (no offence Disney), in other words, slightly gory. I have tried to put that preference into this drabble as well.

Tick. Tock.

Old.
Alone.
And done for.
But not for long, as soon as the beast settled in the water the Captain slashed out with his hook and cut, this way and that, into the soft belly that held him prisoner.
The crocodile writhed and made beastly noises at the war raging inside it's belly, but it was to no avail. At last, in a horrible mockery of childbirth, glistening with blood, clothes, hair and skin broken from battle and burned with the acids from the inside of the monster, Captain James Hook came forth from the battered and bleeding carcass of the beast. Eyes red, skin gleaming, he carried with him the remains of the monster and dragged it to shore. There the massacre continued. Again and again he plunged the hook into the tattered flesh until an unrecognisable, bloodied mass was all that was left.
In the middle of all the gore something glittered.
The captain picked it up, wicked grin on his face, and wiped the treasure on a stained ruffled cuff.
"Tick. Tock." It went.
"Tick.Tock."
But then, as though frightened from the red stare the Captain gave it, it slowed...
"...Tick."
"Tock."
"Tick."
"To..."

...To a halt.
