Nobody's home - What it feels like to be alone
Robin smiled as he looked out of the window, smiling to himself as he watched the rain falling onto the city. He loved the city but he loved it even more when it was raining, he couldn't put it into words but he loved just sitting alone and watching the rain fall from the sky. He turned his head slightly as he heard Raven enter the room, she had her hood up again…she always had her hood up these days, hiding herself away from the world in its shadow.
I couldn't tell you why she felt that way,
She felt it everyday.
And I couldn't help her,
I just watched her make the same mistakes again.
Robin watched her as she walked into the kitchen, probably going to make her usual cup of herbal tea…she had drunk a lot of that stuff recently. He knew she was feeling bad over the whole Crow incident but he didn't know how bad she was taking it, he just wished he could help her cope but Raven would have probably sent him to another dimension for even thinking about helping her.
What's wrong, what's wrong now?
Too many, too many problems.
Don't know where she belongs, where she belongs.
He watched her in silence as she poured her tea out, being careful not to spill any on the table or counter as she battled against her tears. Robin knew that she knew she was watching him, but what he didn't know is that she didn't care. She looked up from her tea pouring and locked eyes with the masked teen, allowing him too the sadness that was hiding in hr beautiful amethyst eyes.
Open your eyes and look outside, find the reasons why.
You've been rejected, and now you can't find what you left behind.
Be strong, be strong now.
Too many, too many problems.
Don't know where she belongs, where she belongs.
The moment only lasted for a second but to Robin it seemed like a lifetime, he felt her sadness inside his own heart now. He just kept looking at her a she walked away, never blinking until she had disappeared into the darkness of the nearest shadow, it was only when he was sure she had left that he allowed his tears to fall. For that brief moment he knew what it was like to feel alone all the time, in that brief moment he knew what it was like to have to hide what you feel from the world, in that brief moment he knew what it was like to be Raven.
Her feelings she hides.
Her dreams she can't find.
She's losing her mind.
She's fallen behind.
She can't find her place.
She's losing her faith.
She's fallen from grace.
She's all over the place.
He returned to looking out the window as the rain fell onto the city, each rain drop was a small echo of the tears that both he and Raven where crying that night…and he knew deep in his heart that they would be the last Raven would ever allow herself to spill.
She's lost inside, lost inside
She's lost inside, lost inside...
