Stuck Above Ground

Holly was on the surface checking on Artemis. Just making sure that his memory had not returned. It had been a year since his memory was wiped. This would be the last time Holly would have to check on him. After this, they would get daily feed from the miniscule cameras they had planted the day of the wipe. The tapes would be put into an obsolete folder unless it contained fairy, Holly, L.E.P., or Mind-wipe. There were close to one hundred words but those four were the most important.

Back to the story. Holly put her helmet on the tree and shielded. "D'Arvit!" she thought to herself. She was running low on magic. She would do the ritual on her way back to the haven. She was sneaking up to Artemis' window. Holly slipped under the window and flew silently and landed on Artemis' laptop. If he were still under the mind-wipe, he would not have noticed. Artemis did not notice until her shield flickered off. "D'Arvit!" swore Holly. A flood of memories went through Atemis' head. He remembered everything. He was shaking inside but would never show it. He said coolly, "Hello Captain Short, nice of you to stop by."
