Fear

Not long ago, he gave her that look of wanting her, needing her. During that brief moment she looked into his pale, sinister face; his hair, shoulder-length and black with all the evil he could muster. He would never actually hurt her, but she could not stand to be near his betrayal. There was only one thing to be said about this girl, a warrior. She was most definitely not afraid of him even though his glare was very startling. Her brother always stood up for her, telling this evil villain to stay away during the intense moment of fear. But seconds afterward, her beloved brother was banished from the kingdom of Rohan. And in this very moment, he was preparing to leave with the rest of his men.

Eowyn ran out of the front entrance of the Golden Hall and watched Eomer and the men tie up their belongings up onto the horses. Suddenly, she felt fear; if he left her, she would be alone. She ran down to the gate, practically gliding over the grass. She did not stop running until she reached her brother.

"Eomer, brother, you mustn't leave!" she told him in a voice that was filled with panic.

"I have to, my sister. I have been banished from Rohan," he responded, not even glancing up from packing.

"D-Do you think you will ever return?" she asked him, her voice beginning to stammer.

"I don't know," he stated, still not looking into her eyes. "I don't think I shall ever return, but I do not know, sister."

Tears began to gather in her eyes "Eomer, you cannot go. You cannot leave me hear alone." She told him as the tears slowly streamed down her cheeks.

In this moment, Eomer finally glanced into his sister's eyes and almost began to sob himself. She didn't look well. Her skin was as pale as winter's day; her long, sleek, golden-blonde hair was blowing behind her to better reveal he face. But the part of her he will never forget were her eyes, not only full of fear and sadness, but cold. Just staring at the pale, gray stones made him shiver. A rush of sympathy suddenly released a dam in his heart, and he wanted to stay with her. A love that he had never felt for her before was discovered, and he wished he could stay with her, to protect her from danger and loneliness. A tear that he was unaware of gently rolled down his cheek, but he never looked away from his sister. They stood there, just staring at each other. Eowyn almost collapsed under her weight and Eomer caught her and held her by the shoulders, but he never looked away from her face. He wanted to tell her that it was going to be okay; that he was going to protect her and be a real brother to her, but all he could say was "I will come back, my sister. I shall return. I promise," and with that he embraced her and gave her a light kiss on the cheek. When he finally let go of her, tears were pouring from her eyes and refused to stop. Eomer mounted his horse and caught a last glance at his sister before he and his men exited through the gate. Eowyn continued to stare at the gate that her brother exited from. He left, he actually left. How could Grima be so cruel as to demanding her own brother to leave her? A rush of hate for him spread throughout her body, and she couldn't hold in her emotions. She collapsed onto her knees and began to sob horribly, finally looking downward and away from the location in which her brother was forced to leave.

A/N: My first story that I finally put up after so long! I know that Eowyn and Eomer have accents, but I don't know how to do them on the computer so that's my reasoning for them not being there. Review please and that will make me happy! If I need to add anything, lemme know! I'm to lazy to add anything else.
