Hermoine and Ron walked downstairs, both their eyes slightly red from crying, their shirts damp from tears. Finally they had gotten through to Harry. When they had planned how to get Harry to talk they tried to prepare themselves but never had they guessed that Harry was that anguished. Once he had finished crying he had told them everything. How he knew the prophecy, how he would be the deciding factor of the fate of the wizarding world, how he really felt. Hermoine couldn't but help think that Harry resembled the 11 year old she met the first day of school, vaunerable and helpless. Well, he wasn't helpless but he was hurting.
"Did you get to him dears?" Molly Weasly asked as she prepared lunch for the Weasly clan and some of the remaining Order members.
"Yes." Was the unemotional reply. Both of the teens felt emotionally drained, they had spent it all upstairs with Harry who now slept. Mrs. Weasly took the lack of response as a hint not to push the subject.
"Hungry?" She asked as Fred and George walked in. Though neither were very hungry they nodded their heads. Mrs. Weasly set a plate of sandwhiches on the table and then walked to the stairs.
"Lunch!" she called to alert anyone who hadn't gathered in the kitchen. Several people trickled in talking about the most recent meeting and discoveries while seating themselves. Remus sat across from Hermoine, looking older than even the effects of his condition had taken on him. Everyone began their meal in silence. Five minutes into the meal, the kitchen door creaked open and a disheveled Harry walked in. Without a word to anyone he sat next to Remus and began putting food on his plate. Mrs. Weasly just stared at the boy, Remus jumped a bit when Harry sat down but Hermoine and Ron just exchanged faint smiles. They knew that Harry still felt angry and scared but he told them he was going to try to get over it. Too bad he didn't have a choice. His friends had 'accidentally' failed to mention about the new arrivals that would be coming.
That night Hermoine and Ron sat on the couch while Remus and Harry sat in the parlor talking.
"Wonder what they are saying?" Ron said.
"Hmmm." Hermoine replied.
"So Ron, why did you come back from Australia so early?" Hermoine asked.
"Mom and Dad got word of something or other for the Order. They made us come back, that's what the meeting was for. It was really nice there though. You should have seen it, Bill took us snorfing or something like that. We got to see a bunch of fish....it was really nice." Ron explained.
"Oh, I bet it was. I heard it had a lot of stuff to do there." Hermoine said. Her head snapped around when a creak came from the stairs and Ginny came into the light coming from the fire place at their feet.
"Sorry Hermoine. Just wanted to see if you were okay. Its only 6 o'clock but you seem really tired." Ginny said, her voice hushed.
"Yeah I'm tired but I want to be here when Harry finishes talking to Remus. Ron and I were just talking about what they could be discussing."
"Probably Sirius." Ginny replied, seating herself by the fire, closing her eyes.
"They've been in there for a while." Ron pointed out. As if on que the door opened and out walked Harry and Remus, both of whom seemed to have had a weight off their shoulders. Harry walked straight and tall, no longer hunched and Remus looked younger than he had since the whole affair started. Both were still dwelling on their conversation.
(Memory)
" Harry, may I speak with you?" Remus asked after dinner that night. Harry stared at him but nodded nevertheless. Remus led him through the living room to the parlor that was hardly used. Harry sat in an old woden back chair and waited for Remus to begin.
" I don't suppose you've received one of these yet?" Remus said, his voice shaky in the dark. Harry strained his eyes to see what he was handing to him but couldn't tell.
"Oh, sorry." Remus said and clapped his hands. Instantly the lights came on blindingly strong.
"This envelope was sent to me two days ago. From Gringotts. Its about Sirius' will." Remus continued. He handed Harry and envelope with his name on it printed in a crisp gold font.
"I havent been able to open mine, I don't have the courage. I'm not going to open it until you are ready and we will open it together. Harry, Sirius would have wanted the best for you." Remus said. Harry took the envelope with shaky hands but set it on the table. He couldn't open it, not yet.
"There is going to be a memorial service for a few people, you, Ron, Hermoine, myself, Dumbledore, the Weasly's and the Order. Also there is going to be someone you haven't met yet there. Your godmother Harry. Brieana Morton, she was your mum's best friend. When your mom was killed and Sirius convicted, her and her husband fled because they were next on Voldemorts list. I havent heard from her until she wrote me one day." Remus said.
"When?" Harry asked, his voice showing no emotion.
"On the twentyith, five days." Remus replied, shifting in his chair.
"Remus, I'm sorry. I acted like I was the only one hurting about Sirius but I'm not. I was so stupid, but Ron and Hermoine kind of gave me a slap in the face and woke me up. I'm really sorry Remus." Harry said, sighing. Remus put his hand on one of Harry's shoulder.
"Harry, I understand. I had more time with Sirius and you only had two years." Remus said.
" I know but I feel so selfish. I mean, Ron and Hermoine told me its not my fault and I've realized that but in a way part of it is my fault." Harry confessed.
"Harry, you are right. But you had very little part. Voldemort is the reason. You were just a pawn." Remus said roughly.
"I hate it! I hate being a pawn in Voldemort's stupid game. I keep thinking "if only..." but then I tell myself looking back isn't going to help. I'm so frustrated that I cant do anything except sit and wait." Harry said angrily, running his hands through his unruly hair.
"Harry I know. You don't have to be that pawn any more. Dumbledore has people he knows coming to train you, Ron and Hermoine. Brie's children, Cameron and Ty, are coming here. Ty's adopted but attending Hogwarts as a seventh year and Cammie as a sixth year. They both will most likely be in Gryffindor, both their parents were. You'll get along great." Remus said.
"Remus, thanks." Harry said, standing up. The two men shook their hands before Remus pulled Harry into a one-armed hug. Both left feeling like a weight has been lifted from their shoulders.and saw Ron, Ginny and Hermoine sitting on the furniture in the living room, obviously waiting for them.
" Hi Harry, we've been waiting for you." Hermoine said. Harry smiled and pulled her into a hug, catching her off guard. After Hermoine Harry pulled Ron into a one armed hug. Before Harry even had a chance, Ginny bounded into his arms and hugged him.
"Good to have you back Harry."
