Revolving Nightmares
A blonde girl dashed around the building's corner panting heavily. Her blue eyes were dilated in fear as her feet barely touched the ground with such speed. Blonde hair flowing precariously and shirt flapping against her back, she didn't care where she was going. As long as she got away.
She gasped at the sight before her. Screeching to a halt, her gaze climbed the giant brick wall before her. Stepping back, her hands glowed yellow but suddenly died down. Her breath caught in her throat in horror. A snicker arose out of the blue and increased slowly. A chill crept up her spine as she swerved on her heel and backed into the wall. There was no escape. Eyes wide in horror, she held up her arms in defense and screamed as a blinding light filled the alley.
A green skinned boy shot up in his bed with a cry and trembled in horror. Taking a gloved hand, he wiped the beads of sweat off his brow. He held a hand to his chest feeling his heart pounding angrily against his rib cage. His eyes squinted in the darkness of his room.
Throwing the covers off himself, he climbed out of his bed and ran into his bathroom. Peeling his gloves off, he turned the faucet on and held his hand as a cup and collected the cool liquid. He then threw his hands up and splashed his face. Sighing, he took a towel and dried himself and looked up in to the mirror at himself.
A snicker arose out of the blue and increased moderately. The green boy backed away from the sink, elf-like ears alert and shifting to every little hiss within the laughter. A pair of hands appeared out of the mirror before him and a blinding light filled the room. Holding his gloveless hands up to cover his face, he cried out as several beams shot out at him.
A pale looking girl shot up from her circular bed in a panic. Clutching onto her black sheets with knuckles whiter than her gray hued skin, her violet eyes scanned the room she had been slumbering in.
She placed a tiny hand over her chest and felt her heart slow down after the slight scare. Sighing, she scooted back deep into the bed and brought the blankets up to her chin. She closed her eyes slowly and took a deep breath.
"It was all a dream."
Just as she had assured herself of the nightmare, a snicker filled the chest in the corner of her room. A bright light snuck through the keyhole and shined the single beam on the girl's face.
"The terror is just beginning Raven."
-The End-
Author's Note:
Very random, I know. But look at it this way: The first scene was obviously about Terra, who was in Beast Boy's dream, and then Beast Boy was in Raven's dream. Get the connection? (Shifty eyes). Well, when Raven 'woke up', the snickering came again. From the chest (guess who?). But is Raven really awake? Who's dream is it really? Will I write more to this (highly unlikely, one time thing). Determine how you want, but that above was how I determined this. Hope it got you thinking. : )
And yes, I do realize that this was extremely short.
