Preliminary Research
"Senpai... what are you doing?"
"Research," he replied easily, even though Kaidoh's question had been slightly muffled.
"On what?" Now he was squirming a little, trying to escape. Inui generously allowed him to do so and retrieved his notebook from his bag to record the results of this trial. The frontal attack's success rate increased when greater levels of stealth were utilized on the approach, which he'd predicted.
"I'll see you at practice," he said instead of answering, tucking the notebook under his arm. He hadn't expected Kaidoh to be such a willing subject in this particular project (especially after the last one), but his compliance was more than welcome.

Appropriating Kaidoh's bandana had almost been too easy--but whatever worked, worked. Kaidoh was still searching the locker room long after the departure of the other regulars, which was exactly what Inui wanted. Quietly, he opened the door and slipped inside, crossing the room silently. Then, he pounced.
"Looking for this?" he asked, holding the purloined bandana in front of Kaidoh's face and leaning over a little to rest his chin on Kaidoh's shoulder. The stifled noise of startlement from his subject hadn't been entirely unexpected, but Inui hadn't anticipated the full-body jerk of surprise. Cute.
"S-senpai!"
Interesting. He hadn't even tried to dislodge Inui's arms from around his shoulders yet. The taller boy straightened, tugging a remarkably unresistant Kaidoh back against his chest. This was, without a doubt, the most successful method he'd tried yet. Unable to suppress a grin, he pressed a kiss to the top of Kaidoh's head. "Preliminary study is complete. Now I just have to test my hypothesis thoroughly."
Inui felt Kaidoh sigh. "Just don't do it in front of everyone like you did with that... other research."
"It is unlikely that hugging you would produce more shock than kissing you did."
"Don't remind me," Kaidoh muttered, but he didn't move for a long time.
