'I've had enough!'
'What?'
'I can't do this anymore.'
'Can't do what anymore?'
'This, pretending everything's ok when its not.' She looked down
'What do you mean?' he asked slowly
'I'm going Ryan, I'm leaving' she turned round heading towards the bedroom with tears in her eyes.
'Wait Theresa! What about me? Our baby?'
'I've had an abortion; I had it about a week ago. I just didn't know how to tell you'
'What?' she could tell he was starting to get angry
'I had an abortion, Ryan we were lying to ourselves if we thought we could take care of a kid.' Ryan looked down.
'Look at you, your working your ass off everyday, for what? Huh? For minimum wage which hardly helps. I've got to go it's the only way we'll be truly happy'. She said practically crying.
'but what about me?' he asked with tears threatening to fall, he had to blink to stop them, 'I love you!'
'No, no you don't,' she stared at him straight in the eyes,' you still love Marissa, you've just told yourself so many times that you should love me, you're starting to believe it yourself.'
'That's not true' he said quietly
'Yes it is Ryan, you think I don't see you looking at that photo of you two at the pier? Gazing at it thinking that you wish you were there?' she was starting to get angry now, 'well today is your lucky day Ryan Atwood, I've called Sandy and told him to come get you, in fact he should be here any minute so you better go pack' Ryan just stood there looking at her in disbelief.
'what about you?' he said in barely a whisper
'oh me? Don't worry about me,' she said sarcastically 'I've booked a taxi to take me to Atlanta to go live with some of my family.'
BEEP! BEEP!
'Here it is now' she said calmly, willing her eyes to not show the pain her heart felt at leaving the only man she had ever loved
'Bye Ryan'
She grabbed her bag from the bed and walked out the door to start her life anew.
'Bye Theresa' He said quietly, while he stood there confused at what just happened.
About 10 minutes later Sandy showed up at the door.
'You ready to home kid?'
'Uh, yeah.' He smiled his first real smile since he had moved to Chino and walked out the door.
