Chapter 1
Grissom stared at the paper in his hand. Not again, he thought.
The paper in his hand informed him that he and his team were expected to be at some team building camp next week.
He sighed, preparing himself for what his co-workers would say. He got up and headed for the break room, knowing that's where they would be considering it was a very slow night.
As he entered the break room he spotted Catherine drinking her fifth cup of coffee. Sara was on the couch, reading one of her forensic journals. Greg, Nick, and Warrick were, for a reason he couldn't come up with, sleeping under the table.
Grissom raised his eyebrows at the sight. Greg was the closest to him. He was sprawled out on the floor. On the other side of the table Warrick was sleeping peacefully, as was Nick, who was sprawled out under the right hand side of the table.
My co-workers get crazier and less understandable every day, he thought.
Then he spotted the deck of cards under Greg's hand. Must have fallen asleep during a game, he thought, but still couldn't figure out why they were under the table.
He glanced at Catherine questioningly.
"There was something on the table," Catherine replied catching his glance.
Grissom nodded.
Greg stirred, hearing Catherine's voice. He sat up and looked around. He was sitting under the table with a deck of cards in his hands. He quickly got up, careful not to bump his head.
"Hey Griss. What's up?" He asked
"Wake up Nick and Warrick and I'll tell you," Grissom replied.
Greg woke the other two up and waited for Grissom to make his announcement.
"Ok, next week we have to go to a team building camp for two weeks," Grissom announced hesitantly.
