JUST WRONG

Disclaimer, I do not own Vampire Hunter D. But I can torture him in fan fiction

Prolog: She's So Perfect

It was a lovely spring morning birds sang for love in the trees, flowers dotted the pale green grass that poked through the damp earth. A startled rabbit darted for a bush as a cyborg horse trotted down the dirt trail. A tall rider in a billowing cloak and dark hat paid no heed to the startled critter. He had his mind on something very serious. A young woman had been kidnapped by a vampire. Something that was hardly unusual. And he was going to be paid ten million dollars to return the young woman, again nothing unusual. Being shown her picture by her very anxious mother he could tell she was extremely beautiful. Once again nothing unusual. So as usual he did his job as a vampire hunter. He tracked the trail of the vampire, either he would rescue the girl or kill her because she was changed.

He dismounted at the sign of carriage tracks. He stooped down and placed his left hand on the ground. "We're close D," said a voice on the hand, "the tracks are only four hours old. They must have taken shelter nearby." D stood up and mounted the cyborg horse. He led the horse off the road onto a vague trail. Nearly buried by dense brush was an entrance to a cave. D looked around a saw that the vampire's trail led straight to it. He calmly drew his sword and stepped inside. He paused a moment and allowed his eyes to adjust. It only took a moment for his eyes saw well with little light. A narrow tunnel led to a dim room there was a young terrified woman bound hand and foot. Well at least she wasn't changed, but the vampire obviously had a snack. He calmly walked up to the coffin and opened it. The vampire leapt out and slashed at D with his cloak. D leapt out of the way and delivered a killing blow to the now truly dead vampire. "Well that wasn't much of a fight," laughed Left Hand. D went up to the impossibly beautiful girl and untied her. She tried to stand up but fainted. D gently caught her and carried her to his horse. She came to and mounted the horse after D.

He set the horse to gallop and headed to the girls home. Pretty the girl was, but she did have a very annoying name, Mary Sue Diamond. Oh well a job is a job, and one less vampire in the world. After a few hours on horse the girl began to complain in her musical voice that her butt hurt. D sighed she was a very fragile looking thing, so he halted the horse and let her rest for an hour. After a stretch and light lunch she was ready to go. The sunlight caught her waist length gold hair and it glowed about her. She turned and D caught a glimpse of her flawless skin. Oh great another one of those types. D thought. "This is going to be a long ride," mumbled Left Hand.
