Disclaimer : I have been searching of late for a spell that will make Ororon and Othello mine forever. And after all the time spent in such a search I have absolutly nothing to show for it. I don't own Othello's suave and sexy playboy-ness. And I can only yearn for ownership of beautiful, melancholy Ororon. Sigh... Inspiration for this poem came as soon as I finished the last book of The Demon Ororon. I was so sad that I started crying when I learned of my dear Ororon's fate. So sad that I wrote this ballad for him. Hope you like it.

Ballad for Ororon

By Semdai Bloodquill

It's all I've got to look up,

To see the tear fall from your eye,

What must it be like for you,

To watch me as I die,

Blood wells up inside me,

My life begins to wane,

You cry your tears for me,

And mourn 'cuz I'm in pain,

I can't close my eyes,

My strength has gone away,

And though the sun will rise,

I won't see another day,

Will someone close my eyes,

After I breathe my last,

Will someone mourn for me,

When my life has passed,

You say you want to be with me,

But I tell you it's too late,

My time is running out,

My breath will soon abate,

My lungs are crushed,

My bones have shattered,

So, too, is my spirit broken,

And here it lies thus tattered,

But these pains within my body,

They're as nothing to my heart,

I don't deserve to live,

So it's time for us to part,

I, the King of Devils,

I, the Lord of Hell,

Who learned to love an angel,

And so, to save her, fell,

Dropped to the ground,

Lifeless like a stone,

Amidst a pool of red,

Blood once called my own,

If you're weeping for me now,

Shed no more tears for me,

We could never be together,

Such was our destiny,

No longer can I move,

My eyes grow dark and sullen,

Breath has left my body,

The King of Hell has fallen.

Author's Complaints : Sad? Depressing? Well so was Vol. 4! Such a terrible fate should not have befallen my dear Ororon! And what about beloved Othello?! And Shiro! What kind of an ending was that?! Sob.
