A Thief and His Prize
A shadowed figure sighed in relief as he stopped in front of a door. 'Raven' was engraved in the steel. The figure stepped forwards and touched the door. The door opened almost immediately. A light in the hallway flickered. The figure froze and glanced around. A sigh slipped past his lips. He slowly stepped in to the room as he reviewed his objective. His objective, you ask? Simple, to steal something from the sleeping occupant in the room.
Yes he, Aqualad, planned to steal something form Raven. What was he planning to steal? He grinned slightly but didn't start celebrating. Not until he got what he came for. Raven's room, all and all, wasn't as creepy as Beast Boy had described earlier that week. In fact he found it... Ravenish, to put it simply. But that wasn't why he was here.
He strolled quietly to her bedside and stopped. His breathe quickened and he gulped. Raven's hair was spread around her face like a halo and her lips were parted. In Aqualad's eyes she looked like a dark angel, his personal tormentor. She had been haunting his sleep for the past month and a half. Not that he didn't like the dreams that plagued him it was the fact that Raven wouldn't look at him like that, not the way he wanted her to. Not the way she had in his dreams. He leaned over her and bent his head down.
A kiss. That was all he needed. Just one kiss. He slowly closed the distance between them. His eyes closed slightly as he neared her. He could almost feel her breath mingling with his.
"Aqualad...?" He froze and opened his eyes. She was wake and staring at him in what seemed to be shock. He started to pull back from her but she gently grabbed his cheek. "What are you doing here?" He could feel his cheeks heating up as blood rushed to his face. He opened his mouth to answer but realized he had forgotten the excuse he had planned incase she woke up. He closed his mouth.
Well, he thought, might as well tell the truth. And so he once again started closing the distance between them. But this time he reached his target. Raven gasped slightly at the contact but let him kiss her. After a moment he parted their lips. His eyes were glazed over in bliss as he whispered, "That's why I was here." before he kissed her again.
