Wrong Impression
One-shot ShikaIno fic. Shikamaru is your normal lazy boy. But he doesn't act one, when a persistent girl is around.

Okay. I know a lot of you will go saying, "What the hell? She's an amateur!" after you read this. You can always call me that, because it's true, anyway. XD; Just try to make everything down-low, and constructive.

Nara Shikamaru, a lazy boy who spends most of his time, well, bumming around. He did have similar academic grades like Naruto got, but the reality is that he got an IQ of over 200.
On the other hand, we have Ino Yamanaka, a persistent girl who was once the best friend of Sakura Haruno. But eversince both of them found out they fawn, or should I say, like the same guy - Sasuke Uchiha, they both drifted apart from each other and became rivals.
On one day, things didn't seem right. At least for Ino Yamanaka. Shikamaru did something to Ino, that made her think of him, and forgot about Sasuke even for just one minute. Ino just sat there, in a angry, blushing face. Why did he have to do that? Ino thought. From her looks, she wasn't angry. She was denying reality.
Flashback
Ino was busy in her family's flower shop, obviously, assisting customers in buying flowers.
This is boring, but I wouldn't be lazing around like that bastard, Shikamaru... I do wish Sasuke-kun was here... she thought, while in boredom.
As even before she thought of many things, she heard somebody go in. "Good afternoon, sir," Ino greeted without looking who the customer is, "May I help-" before she could continue her polite greeting, she turned around and saw who it was.
It was Shikamaru.
"Oh, it's you." Ino then turned her voice into a scoffing or sarcastic one, rather. "...are you here to laze around, or what?" I'm sure he won't help, he's always too lazy!
Ino randomly thought.
"I'm here to help you." Shikamaru told Ino. What?! Him!? Help? Since when DID Shikamaru decide to help? Ino thought. "You'll actually help?" Ino said. She didn't believe at first, because she knew how lazy Shikamaru was, that he wouldn't dare pick up a flower for her. "Look, if you're here to play a joke, or two, please, just leave." Ino told Shikamaru. He just looked back at her, smiling.
"Miss, can I have that cosmos over there?" an old lady, who was a customer, asked Ino. "Sure, miss!" Ino told the old woman, as she head off to get the cosmos, where Shikamaru was standing.
"Oi, that looks heavy, do you need help?" Shikamaru offered. "I doubt you will help. You're too lazy." Ino told him off. Before she could grab the box of cosmos flowers, Shikamaru said and did something unbelievable. Shikamaru held Ino's hand and said, "I won't be lazy if it regards helping you." Ino just blushed and they both had eye contact, or... they were staring at each other. "Wai! They are so sweet!" a customer wailed, as they were having a holding-hands moment.
Ino and Shika didn't notice that they were being watched by the people around them! Ino, being the embarassed one, ruined the moment, and started traumatizing. "SHIKAMARU! YOU IDIOT!" she screamed at him, "DON'T DARE COME BACK AGAIN!" and then, Ino chased Shikamaru away from the shop.
End of Flashback
"I do admit, I did like that moment..." Ino told herself.
"No wait, this is wrong! Do I like Shikamaru?!"
"Well, maybe I do like him, somehow."
END.
