Notes: This was supposed to be about Kurama giving up hope and probably very OOC. However, I've been told it fit Hiei, so choose the character you see fit.
Eyes bleak, once so full of life.
Body battered from former battles.
Heart encased in ice, scarred beyond recondition,
No longer trying to woo people into giving affection.
Soul broken from the oblivious maltreatment of others.
Confined to a plane of darkness,
Even the most sharpest light cannot pierce through.
Psyche now distraught,
Figments running free.
Sanity a thing of the past,
The changes were subtle, unnoticed.
The effects permanent, unable to reverse,
Hope is now on the wind, blowing away.
