Business, not love. It's a game; strategy and secrets. Demon-worship and chanting in the dark. Bandages, hallucinations, control. In the dimming light of late afternoon, he sets down his briefcase and fires. Papers flutter to the floor, like her mascara-coated eyelashes upon wrinkled cheeks. She wishes her looks could kill.
Calculating, considering -- it's all ready, the plan need only be put into action. Movement.
He's playing, but she's winning.
"For power?"
Not love.
"Yes."
Not love.
Now she stands, defiant. Wheelchair, a lado de la sacerdote. One chance to throw the glass. Gunfire.
