Joyful, depressing, happy and sad
I can remember wet tears when you left
People gave condolences but my ears were deaf.
Long had I wondered "Where did it go wrong?"
Where did the bridge break? A bridge supposedly
so strong?
Then I believed, maybe, that it was for best
Better to quit ahead than divorce like the rest
Once in awhile, I think of you in bittersweet taste
Feeling the addictive rush of a familiar chase
Sometimes I see you walking, don't mind if I stare
Just because we've gone separate ways
doesn't mean I don't care.
