As I write this fic I am currently eating Honeydews/Cantalopes and listening to

"For Fruits Basket" by Ritsuko Okazaki. And the usual... I do not own Inuyasha, blah, blah, blah.

It was a normal and sunny day. As usual, Inuyasha and Kagome were bickering over something stupid. In this case, it was whether Kagome should return to her time for a while.

"Well, he's gonna give up sooner or later." sighed Shippou.

"Anou, maybe their just trying to deny there feelings for eachother. In my opinion, I think it's really sweet. Great way to show your affection... unlike a certain houshi..." she shook her head as she slapped Miroku who had gropped her behind.

"Heh-heh," began Miroku. "Eh, Kagome-sama, Inuyasha. This has been going on for a pretty long time. I'd say for..." he stopped and looked at the sun. "...About thirty minutes. Wow, that must be a record."

The 2 had not heard a single word that came out of the 3s mouths as they spoke.

"Inuyasha! Please let me go!" pleaded Kagome.

"NO! It's been the 5th time this week!" he growled.

"But this time it's different! It determines if I pass this grade or not! Even if I pass the others while I fail this one, well..." she stopped.

"But Kagome!! You always say that!" Inuyasha pouted.

Kagome sighed, walked over to the well and sat down. She placed her wrist under her chin. Inuyasha just stood there, not moving a millimeter.

"Oh fine. You can go this time but this is it for the next 2 months!" he hissed.

"Right!" she chirped.

"When you get back we will continue our hunt for Naraku and the shards. After that, we shall murder him!!" he cracked his knuckles.

Kagome sweat dropped. Then, suddenly by an unknown instinct, Kagome ran and hugged Inuyasha.

"Ah! Thank you Inuyasha. I promise... I will pay you back!" she cheered.

"Promise?" he arched up an eyebrow.

"Yep, promise."

"Fine."

"Later, Inuyasha, Shippou-chan, Miroku-sama and Sango-chan!" she said.

She got up, walked towards her backpack, grabbed it, headed towards the well and jumped down. A familar blue aura faintly glowed from the opening of the well.

"You gave up quite easily Inuyasha." complimented Sango.

"Maybe... you've developed feelings for our oh so lovable Kagome-sama?"

"Keh!" he snapped as he hopped away into the forest.

"When will he ever learn?" sighed Shippou.

Miroku and Sango shook their heads.

Somewhere in the forest...

'Why do I always give in like that?!?!' he thought.

'Inuyasha, can I go? OH SURE, GO KAGOME! Arrg, now I'm talking to myself! But... there's something about Kagome that makes me feel... strange. It's a funny feeling, but I guess I sorta like it. I hate to say this. I really do but, Kagome, you're really sweet. Like a honeydew. Sweet, tempting and welcoming. Warm, and bright. Kagome... a honeydew... Inuyasha's honeydew...

My honeydew...

So what do you think about it? I know it's short, crappy, and very OCC, but it came to my mind suddenly when my mom called me downstairs to eat some "honeydew." I looked at it and realized that it wasn't a honeydew, but a cantalope... sweatdrops So please review or flame or w/e. Oh, and one last thing! HAPPY HALLOWEEN ONE DAY LATE!! grins Ja!
