Out of all
the classes that I take,
Band is my favorite one,
You learn a
lot and work quite hard,
But still you're having fun!
There's
always stuff you have to know,
Like dynamics and intonation
And
then there's the stuff you can't forget,
Like notes and
articulation.
In band you work together,
Never separate from
the team,
You must use this thing called teamwork,
To achieve
your goals and dreams.
You're supposed to practice really
hard,
Without any interference,
It teaches you to be
patient,
And that's called perseverance.
To make sure you play
everything right,
For a concert or an audition,
You have to
practice your part again and again,
And that's called
repetition.
Then there's that word for being complete,
Integrity,
being whole,
Playing together, Sounding great,
You cannot
forget your role.
Band students must be also courageous,
Unafraid
to play full and play out,
Unafraid to mess up on something for
once,
'Cause in band, you're worst enemy's doubt.
A band
student must be attentive,
Must pay attention to what's going
on,
If a student zones out and misses everything,
Then the
point of continuing is gone.
It's important to try your
hardest,
If you do, you'll progress very fast.
The message I'm
trying to send to you,
Is that, "Band is like no other
class."
