"She sleepin'?" Logan asked as Marie closed the door to their daughters' room.
"Like the angel that she is," she said.
"Good."
They stood silent for a moment before both of them at the same time said, "I'm sorry."
They laughed and Marie said, "No. I really am. I was too harsh on you for something that wasn't even your fault and said a lot of things that I now regret. Meeting you Logan was the best thing that ever could ever happen to me too. I learned to love, be a friend, I had a baby, just so much good things happened because of that. I love you so much,"
Logan extended his arms causing Marie to move forward and fall into his embrace.
"Please forgive me?" Marie asked.
"For what?"
"Weren't you listening?"
"Marie, I heard. It was just one huge misunderstanding that got you mad and was made by somebody else."
"But I still feel bad."
"Don't. Just promise me that okay?" he said looking into her eyes.
"Okay."
"Forgive me too?"
"For what?"
"Running off when our daughter was in danger."
"First of all, we didn't know anything was going to happen in the first place. Besides, leaving and escaping is a part of you that makes you who you are. I couldn't possibly take that away from you."
"Marie-"
"No."
"So…is everything good between us?"
"I guess."
"Good. You tired?"
"Yeah."
"Let's go get some sleep, huh?"
"Alright, boss."
A small grin came on Logan's face before he said, "Marie?"
"Yeah."
He kissed her long and passionately.
"I love you darlin'."
"Love ya too, sugah."
Then they walked off hand in hand to their bedroom making sure to lock the door behind them.
