This is an essay I did for English and I felt like putting it up. Its set at the beginning of the book, imagine Piggy got some paper and a pen from some where!
Piggy's Diary
Dear Diary
Today is very hot and I don't feel like working. Auntie says that if I do lots on a hot a day I will get ill so today I sat by the lagoon.
Jack, Ralph, Simon and a load of littleuns went swimming, one of the littleuns called me a coward for not swimming too, but I just told him to get lost. I know it's stupid not swimming but I don't like the way the water feels and I think I might slip and hurt myself.
Now I think Jack, Ralph, and Simon have gone to build huts, no one seems to be helping though. I don't want to help because of what they said to me before they went exploring.
You see when we first got here we didn't know nothing about this island, didn't even know it was an island. I wanted to help them but they said no. Even Ralph who I thought was my friend, Ralph also told everyone I was called piggy I asked him not to tell but he still did! I felt o embarrassed when they said I couldn't come and when jack said he didn't want me. Well they won't want me to build the huts!
I am also annoyed at everyone because they took my glasses with out asking. A few days ago we all ran to the top of the mountain. The others started shouting and before I new it my vision went blurry. I thought my glasses had fallen of so I tried to find them , then I realized the other boys started a fire .
They could have at leased asked "Piggy can we use your glasses to start a fire" so I knew that they borrowed them.
At the next meeting I will mention the beastie. The littleuns are getting really scared I have to say something. I will tell you how the huts are going latter because I don't want to talk to Ralph right now.
I am really starting to miss my aunt .
