Path of the Dragon

The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. In one Age, called the Thrid Age by some, an Age yet to come, an Age long past, a wind rose up the side of a cairhienin tower. The wind was not the beginning. There are neither beginnings nor endings to the turning of the Wheel of Time. But this was a beginning.

Rand stood atop the tower, his mind inside the void due to the immense pain he still felt wracking his body. He was immersed in the viod so thoroughly that he barely noticed Min walk up beside him and entwine her arm around his.

"It's good to be back here with you again finally, i couldn't stand to see those Aes Sedai punish you like that."

That had brought him out of his reverie and a simple reply returned to her ears.

"As long as you are not hurt i would endure all the pain in the world"

As he spoke it brought on a wince from him and he dropped to his knees shaking. At that moment Alanna came to join them and immediately moved over to Rand's side. Rand tried to back away but failed and doubled over in further pain.

"Rand let me heal you, i know i can easy much of your pain"

Rand knelt in the one place as Alanna laid her hands just above his face and channeled the flows of Spirit, Water and Air that is required to heal a person. There was visible relief etched on Rand's face. Min looked uneasily at Alanna and asked a question in her direction.

"How did you know?"

"I felt his pain, could sense it. And Rand you should get some rest."

Rand nodded and rose

"Will you come with me Min?"

"Of course"

By then Rand had already siezed Saidin and had formed the gateway leading to his apartments, he then grabbed a hold of Min and stepped through leaving Alanna by herself on top of that tower. Rand then walked across to his bedchamber, entered and almost as soon as get got next to the bed collapsed from all the stress his body had undergone. Min came up from behind him and had straightened him out on the bed and fetched herself a chair and sat by him for the night.

Rand awoke late that night, sat up in his bed and looked around his bedchamber. He saw Min sleeping in a chair next to his bed and thought that she must of been there since he fell asleep. Rand picked her up lightly and placed her in his bed, covered her over with his blankets and left the room as quietly as he possibly could, making not a sound. Once he had tried to leave his apartments he was stopped by the 2 "manditory" guards outside his door, this time they were Aethan Dor (Red Shields).

"And where do you think you're going this time at night?"

"I thought i might streth my muscles, need to relieve some of the stress on them."

"You know that we are not allowed to let you out right now, Rhuarc has commanded us to keep you here for the night."

Rand turned around with a slight wave to his Aiel "guards" or more captors in his thought and re-entered his apartments shutting the door behind him. Once he entered his apartments and was safely behind the closed doors he grasped Saidin and created a gateway to the central room of the Stone of Tear and stepped through.
