Anger.
It captivated the region, fueling the uncomfortable feeling in her throat. She wasn't safe from it, all of them looking upon her with beady eyes. The must have reasons unknown to her - to act this stupendously. There was no escape.Curiosity.
A dangerous feeling. The obstacle between good and bad - to know more than needed. It questioned her ability to decide what to do. So many things yet to discover. They wondered, too. It even made her question herself; glares pressuring horrendously.
Betrayal.
Nothing new. Their body language easily described no hearty welcome. Life was one big betrayal anyways. Maybe that's all she was, a devoid of space. She looked to the group for a way out. It was already given harshly. The gates closed their imaginary hinges in dispute and pity. Not good enough.
Wonder.
He looked up at her pale, clammy composure. Silent. They were both confused, pushed away amongst the lost belongings - and the key lost. Cold, hard dejection lined his face, his expression melting into a grim hold on emotions. The sky was timid, the party gone, and he knew. "Genis." It was monotone, manufactured and programmed. She knew what he would grow up as, and now he quietly understood also; kadama clenched wearily.
Secrecy.
Her eyes bored into his, lost and childish - simply inattentive. He was suddenly the mentor, the advisor, the parental device to cling and cherish on. His sister was the child, curious and empty; with nothing to fill her with. A simple hole: misguided and thrown away.
Life.
It was just child's play. And they were lost at the bottom of the toy box, the cover finally opening - and the elves looking in.
